Emeli Sandé

Adele

Ed Sheeran

Coldplay

Olly Murs

Rebecca Ferguson

Will Young

Bruno Mars

Florence + The Machine

Jessie J

Rihanna

Kelly Clarkson

One Direction

Rihanna

So 14 from this weeks top 40, pretty fair really.

Using just the charts of 2012, I own an average of 7.5 albums in the chart :D All legally, of course! I only have 5 of the albums in this weeks Top 40 though.

Five at the moment - '21', '+', 'Mylo Xyloto', '19' and 'Watch The Throne'. I'd say that's around the same as normal, I don't really own many albums.

All the albums I personally own are legitimate.

It varies depending on whats around in the charts. I go through phases of buying a few albums. At the moment, I've got David Guetta, Adele, Will Young, Rihanna, Emeli Sande, Lana Del Ray and posisbly one or two others.

Probably about half a dozen, although it'll certainly be less around periods of gift buying!

Checking through this year the most I've had is 11 (two occasions, one with 8 legals purchases, the other 7) and the least I've had is 4, unsurprisingly last week.

My average is 6 legally, 8.5 in total.

I own 16 of the current top 40 albums, although there's about 6 that I would never have bought if they weren't £3.99 Amazon album of the week. Still, 16 is quite a lot more than I expected to own.

3 4 60 Adele 21

4 N 1 Michael Kiwanuka Home Again

6 5 27 Ed Sheeran +

8 6 7 Lana Del Rey Born To Die

9 11 29 David Guetta Nothing But The Beat

12 9 21 Coldplay Mylo Xyloto

13 10 5 Gotye Making Mirrors

17 14 140 Adele 19

18 31 15 Rebecca Ferguson Heaven

19 52 30 Will Young Echoes

23 15 20 Florence + The Machine Ceremonials

25 18 22 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

26 19 15 The Black Keys El Camino

30 32 17 Rihanna Talk That Talk

31 27 23 Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch The Throne

37 35 70 Rihanna Loud

I only own/have listened to two in last weeks (Coldplay & Florence), and thats usually about right, give or take a few, not much of an albums person really, I usually get them as gifts months after their releases tbh (Coldplay were an exception to this :P ) and occasionally I listen to them on Spotify

I mainly legitimately own albums, I always prefer to have the physical copy

8 6 7 Lana Del Rey Born To Die

13 10 5 Gotye Making Mirrors

23 15 20 Florence + The Machine Ceremonials

26 19 15 The Black Keys El Camino

30 32 17 Rihanna Talk That Talk

31 27 23 Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch The Throne

37 35 70 Rihanna Loud

And none are that good.

I own a grand total of 0 legitimately :(, I haven't been buying alot of albums lately and what I have bought are albums that have been out longer (for example ''Aaliyah'').

I downloaded Ceremonials, Wrecking Ball, Born to Die, El Camino, Watch the Throne, and Our Version of Events, although none of them are on my ''to buy list''.

On average I own no albums from the album chart. The only studio albums I bought last year were Lady GaGa's Born This Way and Nero's Welcome Reality. I am more into single tracks and compilations than proper albums.
I have none of the actual top 40 but 6 of the top 100 (Teenage Dream, Lungs, Born This Way, Celebration, Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor, The Fame). I have got Whitney's Ultimate Collection and Essential ABBA so I don't see the need for getting the alternative compilations for both acts (although if Whitney's Ultimate Collection was included in the charts it probably would be top 40). I usually only get albums when they are in the sales or discounted. I prefer to just the get the singles I like from each album campaign and if enough singles appeal to me I will get the album. Some acts I get the album for as son as it is available of course (Leona Lewis and Marina & the Diamonds are just two of those) but there are not many that I will buy an album from on name value alone.
Just Bruce Springsteen & The Black Keys (one of which was bought for me incidentally). I tend to buy a lot of albums that either didn't chart, or buy them a few weeks after they have charted.

I own legitimately:

Emeli Sandé - Our Version Of Events

Adele - 21

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

Adele - 19

Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven

Rihanna - Talk That Talk

Kelly Clarkson - Stronger

One Direction - Up All Night

Rihanna - Loud

And none via. any other method. :P 9 albums out of 40, then.

Purchased

Emeli Sande - 'Our Version of Events' (download)

David Guetta - 'Nothing But the Beat' (download)

Coldplay - 'Mylo Xyloto'

Olly Murs - 'In Case You Didn't Know'

Florence and the Machine - 'Ceremonials'

Jessie J - 'Who You Are'

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds'

Rihanna - 'Talk That Talk'

Jay-Z & Kanye West - 'Watch the Throne (Deluxe Edition)' (download)

Rihanna - 'Loud'

'Own'

Lana Del Rey - 'Born to Die'

9/40, 10 if you count Lana Del Rey's which I found online. Emeli Sande's album is the only one I've purchased from 2012 - have considered Maverick Sabre and Michael Kiwanuka but for some reason didn't bother.

I own legitimately:

Emeli Sandé - Our Version of Events

Adele - 21

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

Florence & The Machine - Ceremonials

Rihanna - LOUD

Via other methods:

David Guetta - Nothing But The Beat (don't intend to buy - it's trash)

Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (not BAD per se but I never listen to it so it would be a waste of money)

Not a bad week for me I guess. 4 would be around my average if I kept tabs I imagine.
