Ah, Plan B has held onto #6, excellent :D

Wild Ones back to its one-place movements

Edited by Bréyhound

I hope he doesn't, its really overrated imo, I just don't get it :(

I quite like it. The only reason I would give it full single treatment is because that #35 is ruining his run of top 10s. Also 2 Jessie J songs wouldn't be a good idea.

I do want him to release Repeat, but as has been said (much as I love Jessie) I don't want 2 David/Jessie collabs at once in the chart - it's her who's going wrong, she should release My Shadow over Laserlight.

So as it is, Night Of Your Life would be my preferred next Guetta single, but I love I Can Only Imagine as well!

I really hope that 'Ill Manors' doesn't do what 'Proud' has done this week, enter at #6 and then fall massively. I think it easily could, it is already down to #20 on iTunes. If it keeps falling, it might have an even worse fall and even only have one week top 20 :(

David should release Night Of Your Life next. Having two Jessie J and David Guetta collaborations in the chart at the same time isn't a good idea  I think Laserlight is her next single.

David Guetta said on Twitter a while ago that he's choosing between I Can Only Imagine and Crank It Up.

Plan B

I do want him to release Repeat, but as has been said (much as I love Jessie) I don't want 2 David/Jessie collabs at once in the chart - it's her who's going wrong, she should release My Shadow over Laserlight.

Couldn't agree more. If both My Shadow and Abracadabra remain album tracks I shall be extremely annoyed.

This is a great song  It doesn't deserve to have a JLS Proud type chart run but I can see it falling out the top 20 next week

On the topic of David Guetta - he told Chris Moyles that the next single would be either 'Crank It Up' or 'I Can Only Imagine' - neither of which I feel is strong enough to match 'Titanium' and 'Turn Me On' in terms of success. 'Repeat' would no doubt have been huge had it been released first or second, but I think keeping it as an album-only track is probably best.

As for Plan B, it's going to be a 06-20 fall next week for sure, but the difference is: JLS were releasing a charity release, they have a large fanbase and the single was very radio-friendly - Plan B and 'iLL Manors' is a different situation completely - so I don't think them having the same drop should make 'Proud''s apparent 'flop'-ness any less disastrous.

well 6 is good, but this deserved to be so much higher :( I do wish the public would take to more songs like this, rather than constant rubbish like the song that's going to be number 1...

Edited by C.W

Best song of the year by FAR.

Hopefully the fact it'll be played on TV now (as part of the UK Top 40 Shows) might give it a small boost.

Turning Tables (Live)

'21' is the second album from singer-songwriter Adele, and like her first record, 2008's '19', it is named after the age Adele was when she wrote the album. Most of '21' was produced by Rick Rubin, who has worked with some of the biggest acts of the last 20 years, and Florence & The Machine producer Paul Epworth. Lyrically the album reflects Adele's increased maturity since '19', although it explores many of the same themes.

"Stomp Stomp, I've arrived!" struts the opening lyric of Jessie J's debut single, 'Do It Like A Dude' – a heavy urban-pop tune set to juddering beats and laced with her own brand of ghetto-fabulous, sordid swagger.

The instantaneous skank-inducing debut has already picked up airplay from the likes of Twin B, 1Xtra and Mista Jam, Radio 1, with the white hot remix from man-of-the-moment and good pal Labrinth rocketing Jessie J straight to the top of the HypeMachine chart in under 24 hours - all an impressive 3 months ahead of release.

The 22-year old, Essex-born songwriter has penned tunes for the likes of Alicia Keys, toured with Chris Brown and notably wrote Miley Cyrus's Number One billboard smash 'Party In The USA!' While her multi-octave voice and self-made attitude has earned Jessie J the respect of music's glitterati; from Justin Timberlake commenting 'Who is the best singer? Jessie J!', to Cyndi Lauper pulling her on stage at Shepherds Bush to sing her legendary anthem 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' alongside her.

'Do It Like A Dude' is a ghetto chic, crotch-grabbing, urban-pop diamond amongst the rough which cements Jessie J's debut album firmly in place as one of the most anticipated releases of 2011.- HMV

Part Of Me

All Katy Perry wants is the spotlight, and she’ll follow the path of others to get there, raising eyebrows à la Alanis, strutting like Gwen Stefani, and relying on Britney’s hitmaker Max Martin for her hooks. She never breaks away from the expected lite club beats that transition from day to night without a hitch or the chilly, stainless steel ballads designed to lose none of their luster on repeat plays. Perry acknowledges some trends -- she salutes KeSha on “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” replicates Ryan Tedder’s glassy robotic alienation on “E.T.,” but tellingly avoids ripping off Lady Gaga. Perry is at her best when she’s delivering sleek singles like “Teenage Dream” and “Hummingbird Heartbeat” with efficiency. - Stephen Thomas Erlewine - HMV

Paradise

Coldplay began working on Mylo Xyloto in 2009, while the band was still in the midst of its multi-year tour in support of Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. Recording sessions stretched from 2009 to 2011, with Brian Eno collaborating with the band on several songs and R&B singer Rihanna lending her vocals to “Princes of China.” Markus Dravs, Daniel Green, and Rik Simpson all shared production credits, too, resulting in a diverse album inspired by industrial rock and electro-pop. Coldplay began debuting the new tracks as early as May 2011, with “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall” kicking off a string of anthemic singles.

Blue Jeans

With a sultry, affecting voice, New York-born singer Lana Del Rey took the music world by storm at the end of 2011 with "Blue Jeans" and "Video Games." Born to Die became arguably the most anticipated album of 2012 as a result, demonstrating in long-player form just what Lana Del Rey was capable of. Single "Born to Die" is a typical example of her dramatic brand of pop music. - HMV
