Amazing to see Adele back at #1, wasn't expecting that to be honest. I thought Nicki would get a second week there.

Hope Rizzle Kicks can get into the top 40 in the singles chart at the end of the week aswell. Really disappointing to see it's doing so bad.

The midweek update should say Adele has a 1.8k lead - it'd be very worrying if she'd only sold 1.8k to this point and was still #1

Also the 's' seems to have vanished from the end of 'Alabama Shakes' :kink:

1.8k is a bigger gap than I thought there'd be between Adele and Nicki but I think it's still impossible to call it between the two. I hope Adele does go back to #1 for the lolz.

You make it sound like it's the only album in the chart! :P

It may as well be if it's going to be no.1 every other week.

Well there are 39 other places in the Top 40 for other albums, and you don't need to be #1 to have a hit.

True but you'd think at least one of those 39 other albums would be able to be no.1 this week given the majority were released after 21 and haven't sold anywhere near as much thus far.

Just proves how successful Adele is - outselling newer releases more than a year later

Judging from the big leap up the midweek chart within 48 hours of each other, I reckon 'We Are Young' could well sell enough today/tomorrow to officially enter the UK chart inside the top 5 on Sunday. Would be brilliant if it could enter at #2 but I think Justin Bieber's selling power on Sunday/Monday will be enough to keep 'Boyfriend' #2 on Sunday. Fun. could possibly enter at #3 though. :D

Adele will end the week with roughly the same sales as she had last week then... Somewhere between 25 & 30k for number one. I didn't realise 'Easter' had that much of an effect, either I've never noticed it or completely forgot about it, seems an odd thing to get IMO.
