Maroon 5 will perform their first single from upcoming album 'Overexposed' on The Voice [uS version] next Monday and I presume the track (entitled 'Payphone' and features Wiz Khalifa) will go straight to iTunes [in the US - June 18th in the UK]. Here is some info on the album;

Recorded in Los Angeles, over the last year, “Overexposed” is a rich, pop-infused collection featuring 10 new tracks. The album was executive-produced by Max Martin with additional tracks produced by Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder.

Maroon 5’s musicianship and front man Levine’s vocals are as distinct as ever on “Overexposed” in continuing to showcase the band’s ability for creating songs that have become part of the fabric of pop and rock music today. Maroon 5 began writing and recording the album during their most recent world tour and the resulting collection is chock-full of undeniable, anthemic melodies. The album includes such standout tracks as the emphatic single “Payphone” featuring Wiz Khalifa, the irresistible “One More Night” and the rythmic ballad “Beautiful Goodbye.”

From everything I've read including the production credits as well as 'Moves Like Jagger', I'm very excited and hoping that this is just as good.

Um, wow :mellow:

Nevertheless very excited about this, Wiz Khalifa notwithstanding.

Not sure exactly what to make of Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa, but it could be pretty good! Sounds... interesting though. Never been a massive fan (MLJ is easily my fave by them) but I shall be interested to hear how this turns out!
Very much looking forward to this even if Wiz Kalifa is involved. I hope they haven't left it too late to capitalise of MLJ.

Foster The People as reinterpreted by Mika :lol:

Still looking forward to hearing the material though, considering that Moves Like Jagger was my favourite song of 2011.

Songs About Jane is possibly amongst my all-time favourite albums, and It Won't Be Soon Before Long is also a very decent album. I never listened to Hands All Over in full, but "Moves Like Jagger" is undeniably one of the best pop songs of last year/the decade, so I'd very much like something similar to any of these!
To my understanding i was led to believe hands all over was their last album and that they were splitting up, i read that some time back. Was this originally the plan and moves like jagger been so huge changed their minds?

Hands All Over is a very good album. It'd be worth getting considering how cheap it is. It was stated they would stop after album 3 but just look at all the artists who 'retire' from music for 2 minutes before returning!

Love: They've finally updated their logo and the artwork look fabulous.

Like: New music, hopefully as good as This Love and Makes Me Wonder which never get old with me.

Hate: Wiz Khalifa being on the single; he seems to have a curse in the UK charts.

Overall excitement.

7/10

:D

It does sound decent, but the language shocked me slightly :lol: Looking forward to the Heart FM radio edit with no swearing and no Wiz :kink:
Sounding pretty good from this clip;

Ooh. Quite liking that from the clip! Not going to be anywhere near as successful as MLJ obviously, but I hope it can be just as big as what 'This Love' and 'She Will Be Loved' were, back in their day.

That's quite sweet-sounding, if that's the right word. Somehow, despite not overly developing their sound between albums, this still manage to sound fresh with each new release. I can see this being at least a top ten hit here. Wiz's bit isn't great, but I wouldn't exactly say it was intrusive either.
Oh I actually like it. And I was all set up to hate them this era too. I hope this does well!
Hmm pretty good, nothing amazing but sounds like an easy hit. Wiz's bit is actually quite good, I did think that he wouldn't fit or whatever but it's perfectly fine within the song, thankfully not just shoehorned in to get more airplay from some stations because a rapper is on it.

This, LOVING it, and Wiz is really not that intrusive.
