25. The Fray - How To Save A Life :cheer:

62. Conor Maynard - Drowning

135. Lucien & Mann - Dance With You

141. Emeli Sande - My Kind Of Love

As much as its good to see an old fashioned pop song (not electro or dance) at number one in Call Me Maybe.

Is anyone else astounded at how well its holding up?

I'm not that surprised, since it was massive in every other country months ago (just a Youtube video by Justin Bieber), and its release was eventually pulled forward here, which meant it would be more consistent in sales.

I don't think it's old fashioned either. It sounds so new and fresh and original. It's the songs like Starships which sound old fashioned to me now.

I didn't expect it to be a future million-seller though! :o But it'll be one of the better recent ones imo.

Its used on the advert for the video game Prototype 2 which Ive seen a lot of in the last 24 hours.

Its old fashioned to me in the sense its bubblegum pop, the sort that has disappeared in the last few years and been replaced with the Lady Gagaesque electro, dance pop that everyone does nowadays.

Ah yes! That would make sense actually. I see it all the time on youtube at the moment.

Yeah, maybe. I think the Timbaland-style electropop which has now just become normal pop music, I always read that it's just a re-hash of some of the styles that were popular in the 80's.

695. Up All Night - Alex Clare

Great to this showing up! I think i heard some remix of it on Waterloo Road last night

Wish all those 59p/old songs would piss off -_-.

The chart is a mess atm.

Train - Drive By  #10

John Legend - Ordinary People  #11

Rolling in the Deep  #131 - The lowest it's ever been? (Will probably get used on TV over the weekend, and shoot straight back up tho :P)

I agree, although I have to say I like the 59p promotion but imo iTunes shouldn't promote different songs every week. Once in a while is enough, but not every week

IMo, if they're going to do 59p offers, they should at least pick a wider range of songs - it feels like the same ones get reduced every couple of months...

Amazing that Train are top 10! Makes up for Hey, Soul Sister not getting there lol. Sad to see John Legend out, but I think the song will become a top 1000 staple from now on.
