Carly's lead isn't quite as big as last week so I think Tulisa or if that fails, Rita Ora will easily knock her off

I really hope Tulisa doesn't, the breakdown bit just irks on me so much as its such a blatant rip off in an attempt to sound current <_< (I know a lot of songs do this, but this just annoys me more) I still haven't heard this Cover Drive song, unlike Twilight which was everywhere, I think this will have more of a Lick Ya Down style run

You sound like a certain Mr. Mikey there Rob!!! :P

Still, I think Tulisa is looking very likely for no. 1 next week. As for Cover Drive, I can see them going top 5 quite easily too.

Haha, embarassingly so looking back - having said that, not sure Eric will complain/disagree :kink:

Connor Maynard has a new song out on itunes - Drowning

Currently @ 80

It's just a song that you get when pre-ordering the album. It won't be eligible to chart. (Also, it's falling now - it was in the 50s a couple of days ago :P)

I'm fairly certain Tulisa will get to #1 next week and Rita the week after, both are doing really well on pre-orders. Just a matter of if they will actually hang around for a while (I think 'Young' will drop quite quickly like 'No Regrets' did while 'R.I.P.' could end up with an 'Earthquake'-esque chart run but with a #1 peak).

I'm pretty sure Tulisa will also get the #1. Airplay for the song has been crazy!

Rita could knock her off the week after, but I think Tulisa's performing on BGT on May 6th? Her performance could help her have 2 weeks at #1.

Tulisa will obviously get to #1, it's even got an Example-esque washing machine spin-cycle break down in it. But in 2023 when you're looking back at the number 1s of 2012 you'll be cringing just like I am that Geri Halliwell's "Bag It Up" ever got to #1.
Both songs are crap imo.

Neither are amaze but both are decent for me. Would rather Carly held on though!

I'd MUCH rather R.I.P. got number 1 but Young isn't too bad. It's very very generic though to say the least.

I still lol at the fact that song ever even HAPPENED. It's so camp, which is why I love it :P

Hopefully Carly can hold on for another week for the next. Rather have her hold on than Tulisa getting it tbh.

Youtube Views of notable releases in the next 2 weeks: (my chart predictions in brackets)

Tulisa 'Young' 3,593,348 (#1)

Rita Ora feat. Tinie Tempah 'R.I.P.' 5,646,343 (#1)

Cover Drive 'Sparks' 1,323,102 (top 10)

Flux Pavilion feat. Example 'Daydreamer' 815,753 (top 40)

Modestep 'Show Me A Sign' 2,050,821 (could this possibly be another T40 for them after their last single flopped :o don't think so but it could happen)

Sub Focus feat. Alice Gold 'Out The Blue' 1,047,149 (top 40)

Far East Movement feat. Justin Bieber 'Live My Life' 965,523 (probably will go top 10 but not have much staying power)

And before you say, yes I know youtube views aren't everything :P

We found when "Twilight" thumped "Born To Die" so resoundingly despite the latter having about ten million more hits that Cover Drive's views will be very UK-based, so I expect "Sparks" to début about #5 and fall quite quickly.

I hope fun. or Cover Drive get #1 next week. I was really disappointed with Tulisa's song. She thinks she's Taio Cruz.

Her music blows just like Taio Cruz's music

Modestep have over 2 million views? Wut?

Not surprised at R.I.P. having such high views, I really think it's going to be huge.

I heard on an interview with Tulisa today on the radio that she is going to release 6 singles before her album is out, and every single will be completely different so everyone will like her or something. She also said that her album would have more than 20 songs. It sounds like the worst technique I've ever heard of to be honest, Nicki Minaj tried it to an extent and it didn't really work, not to mention the fact that Nicki's much more talented (in my opinion, of course).

How did Nicki's strategy 'not really work'? It got her the first ever UK #1 album by a female rapper

I don't think Tulisa's album will do well regardless so she might as well put out loads of singles before it. Calvin also seems to be releasing loads of singles before album 3 but I think his album will do well. Hopefully not peaking at #2, although he's made a bit of a habit of that recently (WFL aside) :P :(

R.I.P is absolutely awful! :puke: Really hoping that Tulisa makes #1 as Call Me Maybe as had it's time at #1 and the less said about Rita Ora the better.
