Thanks Eric, a good few hundred places up then :D Will break top 200 today, and hopefully top 100 Sunday/Monday  Then climbs from there over the week! Love My Kind Of Love.

We Found Love is Rihanna's & Calvin's best for me. Sounds amazing every time I hear it and i've heard it thousands of times since the day it aired on radio  Its just epic for me!

Thanks. Any good stations you'd recommend?

To be honest, they're all basically the same to me. Most of them have really generic titles like "Hits radio", maybe with an accent or an extra "e" somewhere if it's a different language. The one I seem to be able to spend most time on without wanting to change stations (suggesting I like the songs most) is one called .977 Hitz Radio.

I think how much I've heard We Found Love, and not out of choice is the reason why I don't like it that much anymore. That said, there's not a huge difference for me between my favourite and least favourite Calvin song.

Calvin said he kept giving Rihanna loads of different beats and she kept turning them down. I wonder if one of those she turned down was the Let's Go beat.

Has everyone forgot that Merrymaking In My Place happened in favour of this Call My Name which I've never even HEARD OF? :(

I don't think I've ever heard of Merrymaking in My Place, but Call My Name premiered yesterday, so it's fresh in people's minds atm.

We're from the same city! :D

Yes for Sean Paul! What an absolute tune

Also brilliant that Marina is on GN next week (although it would have made sense to be on this week performing Primadonna!)

He's STILL here, according to people on my Facebook. I'm bored, so maybe I should go to the city centre and try to find him.

Is this the most typoed song title EVER? Four people making the same mistake on one page :drama: *Feel (no 's').

But anyway, I agree with Cremey that this is possibly Calvin's best era, I've absolutely loved all 3 singles so far and We Found Love.

Rate of Calvin's singles (excl. features):

I'm Not Alone (best)

Feel So Close

Let's Go

Flashback

Bounce

The Girls

Merrymaking At My Place

You Used To Hold Me

Acceptable In The 80s

Ready For The Weekend (worst)

I would rate all of these except the very last one at least 8/10 though, very strong discography from Calvin.

'I'm Not Alone' is by far his best but RFTW killed off my excitement for the rest of the era (although I still liked it). Flashback was also fantastic, YUTHM was good but nowhere near his best. His first era produced 3 solid 8-8.5/10 singles.

Tiesto has released a remix of Somebody That I Used to Know, and it's gone top 10 on US iTunes. Although if I didn't know who did the remix, I would've guessed it was Swedish House Mafia who did it. It might do very well if it's released here.

Oh, what the hell;

We Found Love

Ready For The Weekend

Only heard 'Call My Name' once, so it'll probably climb with more listens.

Why on Earth is this doing so well in the USA? Do they really just love STIUTK that much right now? (Imagine if this had been out last week, the song could have broken 600k!)

I'm surprised everybody else seems to hate Ready For the Weekend! To be fair, I used to not like it too. When it came out, I found it boring and it was always one of those songs where I'd switch stations when it came on (unfortunately, I was the same with literally half the songs that were popular then, I'm glad those times are over). But last year I heard it on Wonder Years on Radio 1 after not having heard it for over a year at that point, and I've just loved it ever since. It just suddenly clicked with me that time I guess.

To be honest, I'm thinking the same. Really baffling. I mean, it IS Tiesto, but still. I can't think of what promotion it's had. I mean, we had Skream's remix of In For the Kill do well like that, but that was on the radio a LOT, and one of the biggest club hits from that year. This Tiesto remix just seems to have come out of nowhere. I think it's really good though.

Lana Del Rey will sing on the first live show of The Voice now instead of Emeli Sande, so I'm guessing Blue Jeans could get a good boost whenever the live shows are.

Calvin rate:

I hated his earlier stuff actually, 'The Girls' was vile.

Bandwagoning!

AMAZING:

'We Found Love' (w/ Rihanna)

'I'm Not Alone'

'Let's Go' (feat. Ne-Yo)

'Feel So Close'

EXCELLENT:

'Flashback'

'Acceptable In the 80's'

MEH:

'You Used To Hold Me'

'The Girls'

HOPEFULLY GROWS:

'Call My Name' (w/ Cheryl Cole)

BLEH:

'Merrymaking At My Place'

OVERRATED:

'Dance Wiv Me' (w/ Dizzee Rascal)

'Bounce' (feat. Kelis)

RUBBISH:

'Ready For The Weekend'

Kelis ruins 'Bounce' so much for me. I literally cannot stand her or her voice for some reason. It's a shame really, because I do like the production quite a bit! 'Call My Name' isn't as good as I had hoped it would be! It's not growing on me at the moment either!

Instead? I was rather hoping it'd be "aswell" :( Emeli >>>>>>>>>> Lana.

Ordinary People  #8

Primadonna  #13

Linkin Park  #22 Ouch (weekend effect)

I LOVE that remix of STIUTK. Will definitely download it whenever it's out (anyone know when?) Sounds really good to hear a different version of a song that i have played to death recently!

Apparently it's included on a Tiësto album that's out fairly soon. Hopefully they'll see how well it's done in the USA and release it here very soon, if it does as well as it has there it could send Gotye's sales back to the sky again.

Linkin Park are higher than I thought they would be at the moment considering the nature of its release TBH! But then similar releases by Arctic Monkeys and You Me At Six have held up well recently so maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

Thanks! They should definitely release it here soon and send it to a million sales quicker!

When did Talk That Talk get as low as #97 :o

Anyway 275. Where Have You Been - this should be big and return to form!

Beez in the Trap (feat. 2 Chainz) #180 & #461 - Nicki Minaj  - was played on Graham Norton last night

If the Tiesto remix does as well here as it's doing in the US, that pretty much guarantees that Somebody That I Used to Know will beat Someone Like You and become the most downloaded song of all time. Although it looks like might happen without a remix anyway.

Glad to see Beez in the Trap so high!! Hopefully it can keep steady and get top 200 officially next week.

Emeli is performing on the second live show instead now.

Emeli is performing on the second live show instead now.

It's probably better tbh, because My Kind Of Love is still climbing atm obviously and by the time she performs it'll be higher and won't have as far to climb to get top 40/20 (hopefully top 10!) after the boost.

Scissor Sisters are performing that week as well or the week after, I know they are performing anyway. I imagine Paloma Faith will at some point as well seeing as she's a Battle Advisor like Ana Matronic. Cheryl Cole might perform as well, but I'd say she's more likely for Britain's Got Talent and with how pathetic the rivalry is I doubt she'd be allowed to do both.
