Interesting to see tribute/fake cover version of Maroon 5 - Payphone at #179

It would be funny if this song went #1.

I can actually see it happening though. The thing with Moves LIke Jagger was that nobody really cared abour Maroon 5 (or Christina lol) before it was released, so they weren't exactly "looking out" for new music from them. It's still remarkable the song debuted so high in the first place. But after Moves Like Jagger was such a big hit, people are probably exctied for their next song, and I can see it topping 100,000 in its first week also.

The Maroon 5 song is out in ireland, maybe itll be released here early??

'Payphone' is doing well elsewhere on the back of 'Moves Like Jagger', so it wouldn't surprise me if it did well in the UK too, but I feel it debuting at #1 is a little optimistic, I've yet to hear it on R1, having only heard it when I've gone online to find it on purpose. Would be nice to see Wiz Khalifa have some more UK success too, though his feature on the track isn't exactly groundbreaking.

09. Rihanna 'Where Have You Been'

10. Cover Drive 'Sparks'

^ 'Starships' will still be in the top 10 come Sunday anyway, the multiple versions put it ahead of Cover Drive. Cover Drive could even find themselves falling to #12 officially, what with Gotye still lingering at #12 on iTunes.

'Where Have You Been' has grown on me now, I still think it's a little bit overrated on here but I do now agree it's at least the second best single of the era :P Good to see it finally making the top 10 after stalling at 11-13 for so long.

I wouldnt say 'so long', its only been there since about Thursday was it? That's not even a week in that range. If you think the video premiered last Monday :o and it's already #9 from #194 (before video release Sunday night), that is a very fast climb to the top 10.

What other versions are there of Starships? i thought there was only 1 and Cover Drive have another version from their album

Starships has another version in the 200 from a compilation, though it will be close between Cover Drive and her. both have a second version in the top 200.

'Starships' has the two album versions + a compilation appearance. Weekend effect is likely to ensure she maintains a place in the top 10 too - I wouldn't rule it out.

64. Both of Us (feat. Taylor Swift) - B.o.B

Just been announced to be officially his next single. Deserves to be huge. So glad it's pretty high due to cherry picks.

Fearn Cotton played Beez in the Trap this morning on her show - could be a sign that its her next single!

I hear Right By My Side way more on the radio than Beez in the Trap (and it already went top 20 on US iTunes), but knowing our luck she'll only use it for the US and we'll have to have another song like Starships again.

Good to see Both of Us high, and it's a good single choice for B.o.B since it got to #3 on iTunes already in the US. It's doing well here aswell, but not as well as Airplanes which got to #12 here on iTunes on album release week.

Labrinth just tweeted:

#expressyourself #LabOnBGT

Glad he's performing the new one!

Edited by Klumzee

Shame that the new one is so crap though  'Treatment' deserves to be a single over that bore of a song. The sample is so lazy. Ah well, it'll bridge the gap for 'Beneath Your Beautiful''s release for X Factor time, hopefully! Better not be label problems stopping that song from being released :drama:

Another song for me to be ambivalent about.

86. Only Love - Ben Howard

I haven't heard this yet but GO BEN! Really surprised at how well this is doing, but I've thought that about all his singles so perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised :P

81. 110% - Jessie Ware

Ooh, great to see this in the top 100. Far better than 'Running' IMO.

57. Lemme See (feat. Rick Ross) - Usher

Would be heading for a new chart peak for Rick if it wasn't inevitably ineligible to chart. His previous best was #78 with 'I'm On One'.

54. Princess of China - Coldplay & Rihanna

Woo, climbing very nicely at the moment! Although it'll probably start stalling again any second :P

50. Hard Road to Travel - Rachel K Collier

I've now seen the ad this is on :P Sounded pretty decent, I wonder if it'll take off properly or just stall like 'Little Boxes' and 'Go Your Own Way' did though?

41. Bangarang (feat. Sirah) - Skrillex

Looks likely to be a second top 40 hit for Skrillex :D

38. Silenced By the Night - Keane

Hope this can continue to climb and get them another top 40 hit. It's doing what Kasabian's 'Days Are Forgotten' did, only making the iTunes top 40 when the album version came out (although DAF went top 40 on the week of release somehow anyway).

29. All I Know (Matrix & Futurebound Rolling Out Radio Mix) (feat. Luke Bingham) - Matrix & Futurebound

Top 40 in the mids today so should have a top 40 place sealed on Sunday since it's still climbing :D Seems like I'm the only person who's commented on this song at all since its release though?

24. Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO

Gwon, get back in the top 20 :D :kink: Party Rock Anthem at #43 though I disapprove of <_<

8. Where Have You Been - Rihanna

Woo.

'Too Close' is at #3 and #58, potential to climb to #2 officially by Sunday? Its top version isn't too far behind Tulisa anyway.

Another song for me to be ambivalent about.
