The reason for "Timebomb";s underperformance is everything was released too quickly. There was such interest in the song.

Some people won't have realised it was a single, I think. It was after all a little surprise for the fans as part of K25. It would have performed better had it been released on a Sunday, instead of a stupid Friday release, as I believe it got as high as #6 on iTunes.

TIMEBOMB #1 ON THE CLUB CHARTS

3 August 2012

Kylie has set a personal record this week, scoring her 6th consecutive #1 single on Billboard’s Hot Club Play Chart with the song “Timebomb”, bringing her career total to nine. This follows the recent release of a digital EP featuring a suite of stellar remixes of her dancefloor smash, including an Extended Version, a big room mix from veteran club figure Peter Rauhofer, an irresistible deep progressive tribal jam from Steven Redant & Phil Romano, and an anthemic body-rocker from hotly-tipped Swedish producer/DJ Linus Eklow a.k.a. Style Of Eye.

Produced by Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas) and Matt Schwartz (DADA), ―”Timebomb” has taken US dance radio and clubs by storm since its May 25 release, making it Kylie‘s fastest-selling US single since her monster global hit ―”Can‘t Get You Out Of My Head” in 2002. Supported by a sexy video clip that has notched up close to 10 million YouTube views, ―”Timebomb” has firmly placed Kylie in the center of modern electronic dance pop. The song landed in May as part of K25, a year-long celebration of Kylie‘s 25 years in music, and also last month marked the 2-year anniversary of her universally acclaimed album ‘Aphrodite’, which spawned an astonishing FOUR Billboard Club Chart #1 singles including the best seller “Get Outta My Way”. Outside of her Astralwerks/Capitol Records chart successes, Kylie also took the #1 spot with her Taio Cruz collaboration “Higher”.

And it charted really well on iTunes US initially! There was interest.

It's a shame it was the only song she used to promote K25, but it's amazing nonetheless.

It's pretty much up there with her best as far as I'm concerned.

Although to the idiotic OP, it's Timebomb, no space. :D

Still gutted it wasn't given a Sunday release since it looked like it could have reached the Top 15, judging from iTunes at the time, but I guess they didn't expect it to take off as much as it did or it was released solely as a fan gift. It's a brilliant song, full of energy, and Kylie still really knows how to pull a pair of hot pants off. *.*
Its still crazy that Timebomb was not added to the best of album, made no sense at all the campaign for that single or album.
Timebomb was a failure. I was positive it would have done better has it been performed briefly on the Diamond Jubilee.
It will promoted on the Voice as well, i dont hate it nor do i love it but it is forgettable.
Timebomb is my favourite Kylie song now  non stop playing all year and still not tiring of it.

Happy 11th to ‘Timebomb’ and it’s total mess of a release by Parlophone :drama:

Still can't get over how stupidly they botched this release, ugh. BMG clearly took notes from Parlo too.

It's top 10 Kylie for me and I wouldn't mind a whole album of this bouncy, slick electro sound.

The outcome of 31-31 was so frustrating! :drama: Bearing in mind what we had been used to up to that point, it felt quite disastrous. Then the CD release some weeks later only got it back up to #42.
