A lie, Holler is one of their best moments! x

This x

The album is a turgid Dark Child rush job, but Holler is up there with the pop classics like Toxic etc

Holler is one of their best singles ever and the ultimate fan favorite :D

THIS!!

If the press hadn't been on their case/ people hadn't deserted them because of Geri, it would be FAR more fondly remembered.

Absolutely. Had FOREVER been #1 and sold over 10million copies, I bet most fans would be all over that Album. A shame about how it all panned out to be honest but whatever, it is what it is.

Having said that, Let Love Lead The Way was really not on par with their usual ballads. Lyrically it is quite bland, specially in the chorus. But HEY so is Mama and Wannabe, and no-one seems to complain about those :P

Let Love Lead The Way >>>>
YES!

I genuinely didn't think 'Holler' was that well liked/had fans in general tbh. I thought it was a widely known fact that it was tinny, demo-lite *Steps cheese* crap. :o :o :o

I like LLLTW buuuut, it is definitely their weakest ballad single (unless 'Headlines' counts as a ballad?) and misses that something which makes the likes of '2 Become 1', 'Mama', 'Too Much' and 'Viva Forever' stand out.

*Of course it's not "steps cheese". I just want Michael to know how it feels to describe something as that when it is as far away from Steps you can imagine* 🙃

I'll say this for Darkchild...I think his work for the girls was as solid as what he's done for anyone else.

Mel B claimed at the time she felt he handed off the better material to Britney...but I don't agree with that at all. I think his Forever work towers over what he did for Brit.

But Darkchild was never Timbaland/Teddy Riley/Jam n' Lewis in their prime. He was never really up to churning out an album's worth of solid material for anyone. He tended to be best used doing a song or two or three on an artists' album. So. To his credit with Forever...I think he gave the girls two obvious singles in Holler and Tell Me Why...and a third possible single with Weekend Love. Nobody asked me...but I never would've released Let Love Lead the Way as a single. I like the chorus...but find the verses meandering. It's still worthy of the album, though...just like everything else he gave them.

I feel he was genuinely proud of that album too. He continued to talk it up and predict Grammy wins...even after the album had gone down in flames on the charts.

They obviously released LLLTW to cover all basis. Holler was and still is a bit divisive in the fanbase but LLLTW was safe and a good ballad. It is not as good as Goodbye and Viva Forever but Emma's vocals are heaven on it.

Glad to see Melanie come second.

Emma was always the fav in uk I thought . She’s harmless .

Interesting all round. It confirms my thoughts people are interested in Victoria but don't actually like her.

Also no wonder Mel C cant sell records or chart if she skews the oldest fans.

I never heard about this poll in advance of the results. :( I’d have been interested to take part!

I know me too, would be interesting to see what the results would be if everyone involved was an actual fan. Bet there were alot of casual fans or not really even fans involved too.

LOL I had to share that this just sounds straight out of Spice World (along manta rays and lions that piss on each other)

And I love that it doesn't sound so unexpected coming from Geri <3

Geri Horner teaches us all about gay penguins as she hangs out at the zoo
