July 15, 201214 yr Yes Florence! Even if all her usual strangeness and charm has been taken out of the song by Calvin Harris  That's one of the best ways to get to #1 though  Lose all personality! :drama:
July 15, 201214 yr I've been out the loop for ages for chart music and this is the first time I've heard Payphone...it's so ordinary. How is it such a massive seller? Congrats to Florence. It's ironic that I was such a fan of her in 2009 because she stood out so much from all the other females around at the time (Gaga/La Roux/Little Bootc/etc) in terms of her music, all acoustic without a synthesiser in earshot...and she only finally gets to number 1 because of a Calvin Harris remix, making her sound exactly the same as everyone else.
July 15, 201214 yr :w00t: For the first time in absolute ages, I've actually listened to the top 5 on Radio 1 just to see if Florence made it. :D So happy!!!
July 15, 201214 yr I could cry, I'm so happy that Florence is getting some credit even if it isn't with her best song & it took a remix to do so.
July 15, 201214 yr Florence feels all "Chart-tastic". :o She just said 'Spectrum' is the last single to be released from the album.
July 15, 201214 yr And huge congrats to Florence. If Misha B does not do well this week, Florence will be top again
July 15, 201214 yr YES SHE DID IT OMG YES. It's a bit annoying it took a Calvin Harris remix to get her there but it did improve the already amazing original  Always love the feeling when one of your favourite singers gets to number 1!
July 15, 201214 yr Who's responsible for the pitching problems? It's because of the music videos I think. They're sometimes a different pitch for some reason.
July 15, 201214 yr And huge congrats to Florence. If Misha B does not do well this week, Florence will be top again I think Maroon 5 have re-overtaken her on Itunes combined, so I can't see it unfortunately :( Still, I'm just so glad she has a number 1 to her name, however fast it falls  Edited July 15, 201214 yr by C.W
July 15, 201214 yr I never ever expected Florence to get a number one, absolutely BEAMING right now. :D 'Spectrum' was my favourite on the album and I KNEW it'd make a perfect single (... sort of). And her interview just then was so cute!
