Am I alone in having NO clue who Jess Wright is? :(

No, I'm in the dark too though I'd like a cull of artists named Jess or Jessie because there are way too many at the moment. FIND NEW NAMES!

Jess Wright is off The Only Way Is Essex, she's Mark Wright's sister.

Give me Pink over The Script or Example any day. I hate the 'British is better' BS that gets thrown around too often on here. QUALITY is what determines good music, not nationality. Just look at all those forgotten British no.1s that held off Moves Like Jagger last year.

AMEN.

I prefer Taylor Swift and Pink over any of the British acts in the top 40 (though I like most of them). It's always good to see British music doing well I say but it has to actually be good.

She's off the tv show 'The Only Way Is Essex' :)

Never would have thought Jessica Wright would ever get this high :o I love the song but then again I love anything tacky clubland like. She however is awful, would easily be worst TOWIE character if it wasn't for Joey Essex.

4 Example - Say Nothing (Radio Edit) 0.6625 0.6500

It's the END I guess... top 4... :( Another week for the stupid The Script song? I used to love them!

Clown (Emeli) 77!!! Carolynne effect!! :cheer:

Also Coconut Skins (Damien Rice) at 58 from X Factor.

Britney - Circus  #572

Clown  60!

Who is buying this?! If it is X Factor....don't want to know.

Yep, was played in the background on tonight's X Factor.

51. Coconut Skins - Damien Rice

55. Clown - Emeli Sandé

The X Factor effect on the chart seems to be very muted this year (bar 'Last Night' until its deletion I suppose), I expected one or both of these to be at least top 40.

Also from XF:

72. Turning Tables - ADELE

92. Someone Like You - ADELE

Yup, yet more Adele performances ('Set Fire To The Rain' still at #73 from last night's XF and SCD as well) - Adele must be loving the autumn reality shows

INXS 'Never Tear Us Apart' from the John Lewis ad is at #88 and #90. The Paloma Faith cover which is actually used in the ad is apparently out on Wednesday, expecting big things from that (the last John Lewis Xmas ad cover flopped a bit but it was by an unknown artist, but they've gone back to a well-known one this time. Just surprised it isn't Emeli Sandé :P)

Why is Read All About it back to #12?

They pretty much played the whole song at the end of X Factor.

Why is Read All About it back to #12?

That was also used on the X Factor (not performed but played as background music for quite a long time). They might as well rename the show 'amateur singers with an Adele and Emeli Sandé soundtrack'.

Probably 'Clown' effect? ^^

Circus #556 :)

Clown #52

Oh edit

Thanks Neil & Bray for explanation :)
