The album chart battle is the more interesting this week. We've got Pink v. The Killers for #1, then Carly Rae Jepsen, Nelly Furtado and Kanye's 'Cruel Summer' compilation all looking to secure high top 10 debuts. Throw other contenders such as The xx, The Script and Emeli Sande into the mix and it's going to be big sales all around. I only mention Sande because of the coverage of 'RAAI, Pt.III' and 'Clown' on X-Factor - and much like Adele's '21', any coverage nowadays seems to boost the album.
Im rooting for The Killers to be number 1 on the album chart but am slightly thinking Pink may stop them.
I can't see Nelly Furtado's album peaking in the top 15 - let alone top 10. Loose only peaked at #5, despite great sales, and that was off the back of a number one single. She doesn't even have a top 10 to her name this era.

There's no way The Killers wont be at number one on the album chart, although Pink has a version at #1 on iTunes The Killers have two versions top 10. The Killers will also sell way more physicals than Pink, I'm hoping of sales around 70,000+ for The Killers but there latest single underperformed.

04. Pink - Blow Me (One Last Kiss) & #73 (This might re-peak this week, who would have thought as it dropped to #11 before performing on Alan Carr)

06. Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Hopefully this manages to re-peak this week or get a new peak)

12. Dappy - Good Intentions (Stalled :D)

18. Psy - Gangnam Style

24. Tulisa - Live It Up (11-24 chart run )

26. Jessica Wright - Dance All Night

40. Damien Rice - Coconut Skins

41. Emeli Sande - Clown

54. Pitbull & Shakira - Get It Started

We should also get a new batch of 59p songs tonight!

Carly update:

10. Good Time

46. Call Me Maybe

147. Call Me Maybe

203. Good Time

211. Beautiful

319. This Kiss

377. Good Time

786. Call Me Maybe

So not many songs making much of an impact. Shame. :(

Do albums still sell well on itunes? Like i know they sell but what is the overall % to the total sales? Because i think people just buy albums in the shops for there cars etc! I know i do anyway haha i'd rather do that then download an album. But if i love the artist then i'll obv download and buy copy in shops.

I think TheKillers will be on no1 with 65k in sales (due to the average first single performance) and pink no2 with 55k!

Amelia is actually still #5 combined.

She's got a second version at #97 which is 79p.

Has anyone else noticed how new album releases are now £8.99 instead of £7.99? It better just be a coincidence. I have a feeling itunes are upping the prices of all albums like they did with singles (from 79p to 99p).
CDs in HMV are now up to 8-10 pound for a new release - its been like that all year!!
I don't care who gets the no.1 album. Pink or the Killers, at least the choices are both good. Can't wait to get both for my birthday next week.

I'm almost 100% certain this is going to be relegated to the compilations chart. Kanye isn't on all of the tracks (only about half of them) and iTunes have credited it to 'Various Artists' rather than 'GOOD Music'. If it was the latter it may have got into the albums chart through the same loophole that got the compilation album 'Rhythms Del Mundo Classics' into the chart a couple of years ago, although maybe still not as Swedish House Mafia's album charted on compilations.

Also Nelly Furtado won't be anywhere near the top 10, I fully expect a #33 smash for her. Carly will only scrape the top 10.

On the subject of 'Cruel Summer', 'Clique' is still at #29 and the album version is top 500, hopefully looking at a second week in the top 40!

How come a remix of Wings is at 88? Any reason? I don't recall seeing it on the week of release.

Gerry no up to no.5 and increased on Kworb from 0.5625 to 0.65 in just 1.7 hours.

It's still 99p. That's far too high an increase to be just some random movement.

Must have got a boost from somewhere.

Example doesn't have good grammar in his song. "you don't have to say nothing" which would mean you should say something/ you have to say something.

He put on Twitter that he knows the grammar is wrong but it sings better. You don't have to say anything wouldn't sound nearly as effective.

2. Say Nothing (Radio Edit) - Example

12. Good Intentions - Dappy

56. Get It Started (feat. Shakira) - Pitbull

151. Stingin' Belle - Biffy Clyro

164. Treading Water - Alex Clare

200. Bikes - Lucy Rose

324. So Wonderful - Emilia Mitiku

333. Shades of Grey - Delilah

469. Forget - Lianne La Havas

470. Virus - Sonic Boom Six

639. When My Little Girl Is Smiling - Paul Carrack

721. You're the One - Charli XCX

787. Shades of Grey (SpectraSoul Remix) - Delilah

783. That Anything Could Happen - Tribute to Ellie Goulding - (Anything Could Happen)

860. Girl On Fire (Inferno Version) (Tribute to Alicia Keys & Nicki Minaj) - Tribute Hit Makers
