October 19, 201213 yr I have seen numbers stating Jake bug leading by 5.6K, so its game over at this point.
October 19, 201213 yr Twitter Posted by someone from BBC Nottingham UK album sales update: At midnight Jake Bugg was heading the album chart 5,600 copies ahead of Leona Lewis. It's going to be close.
October 19, 201213 yr PSB physical sales must be huge - They have not appeared in the iTunes Top 100 all week!
October 19, 201213 yr Bat For Lashes number 4 - that is excellent. A proper UK female artist unlike a certain other releasing this week. :P
October 19, 201213 yr Author How come? It just seems strange PSB haven't fallen off so fast, like they usually do, it could be their physicals holding them up
October 19, 201213 yr Twitter Posted by someone from BBC Nottingham So she lost to Mr. nobody with sales like 20K this week? After X factor and top 5 hit? When I said she's done last week people thought I was overreacting... but now... :) He's amazing! she needs to do a better music! such a GREAT voice and such a LAME songs... everything after BL is just wrong. sorry for her... really.

I wouldn't exactly call him Mr Nobody - he did have alot of hype surrounding him and the pre-orders for the album were big
October 19, 201213 yr I wouldn't exactly call him Mr Nobody - he did have alot of hype surrounding him and the pre-orders for the album were big He's AMAZING in my opinion but how BIG he can be if he sells 25K top this week? It's incredible for him but should have been an easy week for her.
October 19, 201213 yr I wouldn't exactly call him Mr Nobody - he did have alot of hype surrounding him and the pre-orders for the album were big But he's hardly known by the masses is he? His campaign was handled SO well though - Buzz singles, key live shows etc, - They have been building the album for months rather than Syco who wheeled Leona out on XF expecting an instant #1 from it
October 19, 201213 yr Author Re: Jack Bugg I first saw him on Jools Holland show a couple of months back, to be honest I didn't think much of the track he sang, the track did nothing for me but from what I heard so far from the album, its not that bad after a few more listens. Jack Bugg is a new artist, so I can see why he is ahead of Leona, usually debut acts do well with their first albums, all you have to see is Ben Howard as a prime example, and he is not a single seller but his album has been rather consistant. So in a nutshell a #2 album for Leona is not the end of the world, she just was up against a new artist who had better material than her, you can't just base Leona's music on just an X Factor performance and a few others it just was rotten timing, plus this is her third album, every single artist has a blip in their career apart from Rihanna, Duffy is another prime example as well, Rockferry was awesome, her follow up was gone before you said Jack Russell. Where is she now, I miss her, Mercy was spectacular. I think the issue with Leona's album is timing, if it wasn't for Jake Bugg she would have had a #1 album this week, she could have waited another week, where the competition was fairly weak, she probably would have had Taylor Swift to contend with, but since Taylor has released a couple of singles every week for the past 3 weeks, I don't think her album would do that well next week, unless I'm proven wrong. On that note, I grab my coat....
October 19, 201213 yr I think Leona should've released her album in November/early December to attract random buyers. Mid-October is not the busiest time of the year for people shopping for music. Edited October 19, 201213 yr by SKOB

PS - Taylor will sell a lot more than 20K next week so...
