This could be an interesting start to the week if Beneath Your Beautiful gets to number 1 on itunes, I think SHM will probably just manage it with the album version they'll have as well. Either way, its quite surprising to see JLS absolutely nowhere near this battle, this could struggle to go top 3!

Beneath your beautiful won't keep this up it has no radio or TV airplay, so it will probably start falling by Tuesday but still it's a magnificent achievement to get to #2 off the back of one performance

Can't see it dropping tbh - Radio are usually quite responsive to the iTunes charts so i think they will be all over the track due to its epic climb in literally minutes.

I really need to see this performance on YouTube, solely to see the fuss over this track zooming up so much.

Well it was always way too good to sit unused on the album, so I'm glad to see it turning into a smash, always great to see an original ballad do well in the UK.

It's so bizarre seeing a song at #2 on iTunes six months after you hear it on an album. :o I really hope it goes to #1 but don't think it has much airplay behind it.
Its going to be an interesting battle for the #1 single this week, I do love the Labrinth track, its growing on me, I wouldn't mind it at #1, I just can't call it at the moment until tomorrow, as SHM will have the album track.

2. Beneath Your Beautiful (featuring. Emeli Sande) - Labrinth

5. Hottest Girl In The World - JLS

11. Wonder - Naughty Boy

I guess it will depend how radio responds to it? SHM already have 2 versions in the Top 100 and the EP is still Top 20 against 2 versions from Labrinth and Emeli so the SHM album version could just put them in the lead - Think its going to be a close week!

Edit - JLS back up to #5 :)

The performance itself is lovely and the vocals is just... However the song is rather average for me. :(

Number 2?! :o It will be extraordinary if this gets to number one considering it is the 6th single and 3rd post-album release (better than Spectrum by Florence + the Machine which was the 5th single)

Wow wow wow - thought I was imaging things when I logged on and saw Labrinth/Emeli Sande at #2 on iTunes! Absolutely superb track, thank God it's gotten the attention it deserves; a deserving top 10 hit (and would make an excellent #1). The only shame here is that 'Treatment' missed out on chart success - it remains my favourite track from 'Electronic Earth' - and actually one of my favourite tracks from this year.

I'm sure SyCo will be glowing with joy, an 6-month old track is fending off competition from JLS (of all people).

They certainly will be - considering Labrinth's with SyCo & JLS aren't :P

But it sounds EXACTLY like Back For Good  I was singing "I guess now it's time..." over the verse. Also he makes Example sound like Tom Jones vocally.

When I listened to the track earlier, the strings in the intro and throughout the song reminded me of 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith.
