Quite astonishing that an XF ballad performance only got Labrinth's album back to #11 (or #12). You'd think he'd at least have went top ten again.

Quite baffled at his lack of success. I'm guessing 'Earthquake' has pretty much overshadowed everything else he's released since.

Completely ignoring the fact the actual song is #1 with a rather large lead?!

The album sales boost from the performance would be more to Emeli Sandé, I'm surprised Labrinth's album has even gone back as high as #11.

To be fair, Beneath Your Beautiful is included on the special edition of Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events, which may be taking away some sales from Electronic Earth.

I thought the X Factor effect was fading, or at least it hasn't been as big as it was say a couple of years ago - but Beneath Your Beautiful has completely defied that! I wonder where it would have peaked without an X Factor performance... I think Top 20.
We'll never know where it would have peaked without X Factor, maybe not even top 40 as it was only at #92 before performance, and it had fallen from shooting up to about #45 the week before..so who knows what would have happened, the lead it has right now is crazy huge though!

Lawson outside the top 10 after the second week.....stop releasing wet crap that the Dutch send to Eurovision and fail miserably with. Shocked the fall isn't too dramatic, perhaps the album is helping and the fact Global employees have worked over time to help download the singles and album :D

WOW to Labryinth and Emeli! Talent!

Over the moon that Taylor is #1. Hopefully she stays there!
I had hoped Steps might have shown as low top 40 in the midweeks, i just hope it gets top 75 on sunday.

I hope it's not Top 100 tbh! I would hate for this under promoted single to wreck their chart history of consecutive Top 15 hits.

Worrying about consecutive peaks of singles is so 90's. In this day and age, it really doesn't matter. Look at Rihanna, her chart history is littered with songs that peaked low due to not being singles or not promoted singles yet she is still seen as the biggest UK singles artist.

But Steps are so 90s  I very much doubt they will bother releasing a single after the failure of this so id rather they kept their chart run unblemished than getting a #73 smash

Can't see jls in the top 5 this sunday.

They still have an Alan Carr interview and performance which could push the single back up or at least keep them stable in the Top 10 on iTunes

Update is in, Labrinth and Taylor #1s, give me a min.

Where's Clique please? :D I predict it at #30 in Ben's UK Singles Top 10 Prediction Game.
Pleased to see Lawson and Dappy not falling from Wednesday's mids
I wish I knew whether Taylor had a big enough lead over Emeli?

Taylor/Ed duet out of the top 40 then? :( Shame it couldn't hang on.

Yep, sorry. If only he performed it with a random backing singer on Daybreak today...

Sorry, no sales yet.

Taylor had sold 39k by Tuesday so i really can't see Emeli managing to have a 60k+ week even with the success of 'Beneath Your Beautiful' to be able to overtake
