How do enough people even know Gabrielle Aplin exists for her to be doing this well?! (Up to #32). If 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' is anything to go by she's extremely boring.

Her single is already being advertised on the iTunes front page in the new singles section as well as her own special advert! Hopefully the John Lewis advert will get its first play tonight and she could even get near the top 10!! :cheer:

And Please Don't Say You Love Me is amazing!

EDIT: I've jsut watched the Diamonds video on VEVO, and the video for 'The Power Of Love' is the top video on the featured section! :D

I just heard it on Radio 1. Not bad for a cover. She seems like an awesome person too. I miss not being able to listen to a whole Scott Mills show.
John Lewis are doing another ad? It's less than 2 months since the Paloma one started

This is their Christmas ad that Ellie Goulding and Slow Moving Millie soundtracked in the last couple of years. I don't know about the Paloma advert, maybe that was just a general one.

Pavel is :D -ing right now.

Wow @ Gabrielle #25 already and the advert hasn't premiered AFAIA. I haven't heard the song but I imagine it's a Birdy/Charlene Soraia style piano cover of FGTH's The Power Of Love.

I don't mind what you're doing, but the mods might get annoyed at the constant updates, like they have done for other posters in the past, so just a little warning for you. Don't shoot the messenger. :kink:

I was answering Bray's question, so I didn't think there was any harm in putting a quick update in as well!

That's exactly what it is. It's nice enough, but boring and nothing we haven't heard before. The video is very Birdy 'Skinny Love' too...

Oh no, that's fine! I don't mind at all, but the mods might take it the wrong way! :P

There is nothing wrong with posting significant updates (i.e climbing 5 places in the top 40) but constant posts of one song's movement when it's moving up one place is a little annoying for folks that's all.

She was on BBC Breakfast this morning and they played a snippet of the song. The recent rise is likely from those coming home from work who saw her this morning on the show. The song is great too though :D

If Gabrielle Aplin's cover of 'The Power Of Love' is doing so well already before the advert is even broadcast, then this bodes well for the track in the next few weeks. No doubt the advert will get a fair amount of attention during those X Factor commercial breaks so who knows, a UK #1 in a relatively quiet week could well happen (possibly early December - week before final?).

Also hope this does boost her profile and allows 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' to become a big hit in 2013.

Has it been discussed that Stooshe's 'Waterfalls' has been released at 69c in Ireland? Judging by past examples I imagine this means they'll be 59p upon their UK release. Still only #98

Ed Sheeran has released his video for Give Me Love and it's friggin' brilliant! I hope this can go top 15 after the X Factor performance.
