November 4, 201213 yr Hello all! Most looking forward to seeing the position of Ben Howard's EP - this must be the first time in the download era that a proper EP (i.e. most of its sales coming from actual EP sales rather than its 'main' track) is heading for the top 40? Very unpredictable as it was on the albums chart rather than the songs chart on iTunes. Hope it can at least outpeak 'Only Love'. Aside from that also hoping for a good position for 'Drinking From The Bottle'. I wonder what song they'll play from 'The Burgh Island E.P.', assuming it hasn't dropped out of the top 40. Probably 'Oats In The Water' but hoping to hear 'Esmerelda' Edited November 4, 201213 yr by Bré
November 4, 201213 yr Hoping Matt Cardle can hold his top 10 position but fear he'll fall short. Should hopefully beat the peak of Alexandra Burke's second album.

Possible also Stellify by Ian Brown as well, which reached #31 in 2009 as well. Although Stellify was the lead track, it was the EP sales that got it top 40.

This was pretty much the starting point of where downloads started to really increase singles sales, the sales for the whole top ten are impressive for a 2007 week, but then late 2007 was a great time for music quality wise imo 2- RULE THE WORLD- Take That (57,146) 4- APOLOGIZE- Timbaland Ft One Republic (33,242) 5- VALERIE- Mark Ronson Ft Amy Winehouse (29,211) 6- ABOUT YOU NOW- Sugababes (25,835) 7- GIMME MORE- Britney Spears (22,556) 8- UNINVITED- Freemasons Ft Bailey Tzuke (19,348) 2002 1- HEAVEN- DJ Sammy Ft Yanou & Do (119,000) Yay, I'd been championing this since early 2002 and was talking it up to anybody that would listen at school, I always remained sure that it could somehow overcome Madonna and Craig David's hugely hyped singles to get to #1, but I was elated that it actually managed it! 2- DILEMMA- Nelly & Kelly Rowland (95,000) 4- THE KETCHUP SONG (ASEREJE)- Las Ketchup (50,000)* Oddly, I like this more as the years go by, maybe it's a nostalgia thing as I thought it was awful at the time! Looking back, it's quite impressive that a random Spanish girlband could get such a mammoth hit 6- ONE LOVE- Blue (36,000)* 9- IT’S ALL GRAVY- Romeo Featuring Christina Milian (27,000)* This actually has a great clunky piano bassline 1997 1- BARBIE GIRL- Aqua (239,000) 2- TORN- Natalie Imbruglia (135,000) 3- SPICE UP YOUR LIFE- Spice Girls (117,000) Huge sale for a #3! 5- STAY- Sash Featuring LeTrec (57,000)* 7- AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME- Backstreet Boys (47,000)* 10- SUNCHYME- Dario G (37,000)*

Although Stellify was the lead track, it was the EP sales that got it top 40. Not sure about Bon Iver, you may well be right about that one, but I definitely remember the track 'Stellify' making the top 40 on iTunes so I wouldn't count that one! In fact you probably are right about 'Blood Bank' as Bon Iver have never really been a singles seller, it does seem a little bit odd that the song 'Blood Bank' would go top 40 when none of their other more well-known tracks have even gone top 100.
