I figured there would be a panic point at some point during the night but I'm not calling it yet. Getting more edgy than I was though.
I'm quite terrified at the moment. But I know she needs 100 more votes before the west coast closes to win because the entire western seaboard will go Clinton and it's worth 74.

Trump is now the favourite to win with Betfair (for whatever that's worth).

Most likely scenario right now is Clinton winning the popular vote by 1-2%, but Trump squeezing home on the Electoral College with slim leads across the swing states.

God I didn't need this night to happen again.
It's 78 isn't it? Not that it matters much as he's overperforming across thr board right now.

55+7+12 = 74

Tho my maths ain't great.

It's not looking like a washout, but if he ekes it out that's probably even worse (as if his winning isn't bad enough)

As much as I hoped and prayed that this wouldn't come true I have to say I am surprised at everyone seeming so shocked.

The idea that the polls and the predictions could be relied upon, did we learn nothing from Brexit? There will always be a small number of people who will not wish to divulge the fact they are voting for the side that would make them appear 'racist' based on worry of their reputation. It is the reason why Remain polled ahead the whole way and it is the reason that Trump was behind in the polls leading up. That small number when it's as close as this is the percentage points that swing it.

I hope that somehow Clinton can still take it but what I had been suspecting for weeks would happen seems to be playing out exactly as I thought :(

VA is starting to look better for Clinton now. The heavy Democrat areas have been late in declaring.

It'll probably go the same way as 2000 where Republicans win but Democrats win the popular vote.

I bet if it was the other way round Donald Trump would be having a field day saying he wouldn't accept the vote.

The problem is she can't lose a single state in her firewall other than new Hampshire. Michigan is the big worry right now

I always had this scenario in the back of my mind but I had dismissed it, based on Trump's racist and sexist ideas being even more apparent on the surface than the Leave side. Nearly half of Americans have willingly voted for a white supremacist, no matter what. That's a scenario that nobody should be seeing coming because it is so unthinkable. And if it does end up where Clinton wins the popular vote but loses on electoral votes, that will be crushingly close where disaster still takes hold.

We cannot keep going for the foreseeable future of democratic elections where the racist and socially regressive side keeps pulling it out of the bag, as far as the human race goes. It does nothing but plunge us back into darkness.

Yeah this is exactly what I thought, I was hoping it was just my natural incessant pessimism but now it's happening I sadly can't say I'm surprised which says it all about the state of the world in 2016...
