So shocked that Stooshe is flopping. Any promo on Strictly planned?

Bruno....not surprised - very average track. Hope Robbie gets a third week at the top or Little Mix get a huge surge of sales.

Example...disappointing but the album will sell modest.

Where is the Mel C and Emma duet?

They are at #1383 (not a typo) at the moment, but that is from Live Popbars which is a couple of hours behind at the moment. Yet, I doubt it is much higher now!

#965 and #704 (itunes main) yee of little faith

Woah at Example, I wasn't expecting to see it go top five but not even top 50 yet, his 'relevance' has really nose dived so Radio 1 will surely have to start snubbing him now?

:left: 2. Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars

:left: 5. Love Is Easy - McFly

:left: 8. DNA - Little Mix

 37. Waterfalls - Stooshe

 55. Close Enemies (Radio Edit) - Example

 76. Ride - Lana Del Rey

Pretty much all of these are exceeding my expectations except Bruno who I thought would easily be #1 by now (hopefully this means he has no chance of passing 150k, although the song is growing on me).

McFly could outpeak 'Party Girl' despite this new song seemingly having no exposure at all? Although it'll probably be EXTREMELY frontloaded. Really hope Little Mix can get #2. Would like to see Example top 20 but I anticipated him being this low or even lower at this stage, it's been a very quiet release which is a shame as it's a much better song than 'Say Nothing' which seems like a bizarre #2 hit in retrospect.

Bruno Mars' single is awful! It just goes nowhere? Nothing to it at all .... surprised it's doing well, at least I could (sadly) see the appeal in his other three #01's.

Not me! Their cover of Waterfalls is awful. I'm glad they're flopping - it doesn't even deserve top 40!

Well, I wouldn't say StooShe's cover of 'Waterfalls' is awful. It's just a bit pointless, that's all. Following up such a massive hit like 'Black Heart', I'm surprised the record company (well, maybe I shouldn't :P ) thought a cover of well known 90s hit would be the best way forward.

Totally agreed! Well it's not awful it's just very very average. Listenable I guess but as you said it goes nowhere, it's one of those songs that's just there so I can't feel anything major either way for it.

01. Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven

05. McFly - Love Is Easy

07. Little Mix - DNA

09. Gabrielle Aplin - The Power Of Love

22. Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

35. Stooshe - Waterfalls

42. Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven (+ 81)

44. Coldplay - Fix You

55. Example - Close Enemies

58. Nicki Minaj - Freedom

71. ADELE - Hometown Glory

99. Nicki Minaj & Cassie - The Boys

Hmmm, I don't really understand the appeal of Bruno Mars' single. To my ears, it's just noisy. It's clearly very popular though.

I have also just finished watching Jonathan Ross' show and it's the first time I have ever listened to Gangnam Style in full. It's not any better than I had imagined it would be from the snippets I'd heard already. The performance was nuts though, and it's clearly having a big effect on iTunes. This just isn't going away anytime soon is it?

I'm not blown away by DNA either, which is disappointing, as I thought Wings was a fantastic pop song. Maybe I'll like it more after the performance, as that tends to happen. I'd like them to get another number 1 though, as that would be a fantastic start to their career, but it's looking likely that Bruno will take it this week.

:drama: @ Example. So much for a top 10 hit.

And :cheer: at Stooshe. I don't get the hate. I think it's a fantastic cover and deserves to be in top 20 at least.

I don't like Stooshe's cover at all. It's not a patch on the original, and just sounds a bit cheap to me.
I really like both Bruno and Stooshe's new singles! Although it's probably because I'm not very familiar with the original of the latter so I've just taken the song for what it is and done no comparing between the two. I agree Locked Out Of Heaven isn't as good as the likes of Grenade and Just The Way You Are, but I like the 'warm' retro sound and it's got a lovely chorus.

'Grenade' is the only Bruno song that 'Locked Out Of Heaven' is better than!

Of his singles:

IWR >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> {RB} >>>>>>>>>>> TLS > JTWYA >> MY >>>>> LOOH >>> Grenade

I've put 'Runaway Baby' in brackets as it wasn't actually a proper single (AFAIA), but it might as well have been. 'Nothin' On You' is better than all of these bar IWR which shits over everything else he's done from a great height. 'Lighters', 'Mirror' and 'Billionaire' would all be just ahead of TLS in that order (so basically Bruno is better as a featured artist than a lead, apart from 'It Will Rain' and to a lesser extent 'Runaway Baby' :P)
