This is was posted on the Chart Stats website.

The official charts company says I cannot display chart data any more, I will be looking at ways to allow some other parts of the site to continue but it looks to be the end of the road. Sorry

The OCC really need to improve their own website tbh. The way it is now, it makes it incredibly difficult to search through past charts imo. If they can make their website better, then I won't feel much need to go and use others.

As in sales figures?

As in entire charts, cannot search any chart at all.

BOO. Are there any other sites around that have old charts further than just the top 40 shown in the OCC website's archive? That's the only thing Polyhex can't replace (aside from 76-100 data since 2007 but I have all of that in my chart spreadsheet anyway).

Gonna be difficult for the Chart show thread this sunday.

Noooooooo  Good thing that we still have polyhex for chart runs but I loved chartstats, it's so easy to look up artist history and charts from the past. R.I.P. Chartstats :snif: Hate how the OCC are being very :hitler: about this but strange that they've only found out about this site now. (or that their rules have changed)
Well, after a quick Google I've found 'scans.chartarchive.org' which somehow still exists and contains scans of every top 75 (and top 100 where applicable) from 1970 to 2007 and some earlier ones which is... not ideal. But the data's still there at least. :drama:

This is the same operator of Chart Stats, the OCC may kibosh this as well.

This thread has every single UK chart since 1952: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?...asc&start=0

Sad news, looks like OCC are dumbing down again

Thing is it is very arguable that they have the right to lay "claim" to any chart data pre 2002, or 1994 if you want to be extra generous, so being so heavy handed about the info will just look petty on their behalf- they certainly will have little say over websites with foreign domains who want to publish this info so it's all rather pointless.

Also I'd quite like to see them in court trying to close one of these sites down and see what a judge would say in this respect.

This is annoying news. I loved comparing chart runs of loads of different artists using that website. Rubbish news.
WELL F*CK YOU OCC!! I've used Chart Stats for the past three years and it has helped massively! Guess I'll have to check out this Polyhex site then.

Oh FFS

Dammit OCC, THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE GOOD THINGS

R.I.P. Chart Stats :(, such a great little site

I've just had another look on Chart Stats, and all the charts are still available, but you can't click on a song/album and see it's chart history.
I think it's disgusting personally. I love Chart Stats. I can't believe how desperate the OCC are to keep all this information to themselves and so secret.

As others have said - BAH HUMBUG OCC. Idiots.

If they made the information nicely available to the public then I wouldn't mind, but they simply do not.
