  • A new contender for the worst song ever that I've had to discover 25 years later thanks to BuzzJack of course... How did this even become a chart success down under??? Save me from this horrible me

  • Spandau Ballet - Gold

  • we are charlie k*rk

I know that I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but apart from one or two of their songs, I really don't like Gorillaz at all. You definitely have to be in the right mood to listen to their music.

Stereophonics - Handbags and Gladrags

M People - Sight for Sore Eyes

Simply Red - Nightnurse

Funny how opinions go...almost all the songs mentioned (in all eight pages) I rather like

My nomination - Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl'. A song bought not for its tuneful melody, or meaningful lyrics, but because LOL OMG SHE KISSED A GIRL AND WTF SHE LIKED IT ROFL. I remember reading a post on a forum from someone seeing the cover art and saying something like "Nice fit girl at number 1, dunno what the song is lol" which was equally as depressing.

Thankfully after a few months of being absolutely bloody everywhere, you never really hear it anymore - and in fact Katy Perry's released some good songs since (mostly when she's featuring on other people's) although I'm still not a fan of the majority of her stuff. Music in general I also feel is in a better place than five years ago, although indie/Nickelback fans may disagree :P

I still quite like "I Kissed A Girl" (although as one of the handful of Buzzjack heterosexuals I'm not exactly helping its case), it's got a glam rock side to it that she never really explored again.

Jessica Simpson - These Boots Are Made For Walkin'

All of her songs are god awful, but this cover (her one of many) is a complete abomination. The video is equally just as bad.

Some people won't be happy about that!

When you get used to his opinions, you begin to ignore them after a while. :P

Remember, this is coming from someone whose favourite album of all time is by H & Claire. :kink:

Is his favourite album not allowed to be by H & Claire? Taste is subjective after all. :kink:

LOL! H & Claire?

Yes, but he basically has the music taste of a five year old. He doesn't like any song that has depth or meaning in it.

Yes.

NO! :( Harlem Shake is underrated on this website, it's a very good example of its genre!
Let's be honest - Harlem Shake is crap. It's only selling because of the YouTube video dance thing!

PREACH!

The bolded part of your post is true, obviously songs need promo to sell - but even without the viral videos Harlem Shake would still be top 300 on iTunes, it's not as if it was selling nothing before the 'dance thing'.

Harlem Shake was never going to go down well on this website but in real life people LOVE it. Surely it would win "Marmite Song of 2013" award if there was such a thing

Harlem Shake is absolute shite. I'd go as far as saying it's WORSE than Gangnam Style (and I hated that).
