But I'm sure that's the only reason people like it in real life. As a song, it's a basic beat with some annoying noises over the top that feels like it comes directly from a machine. At least previous novelty songs felt like there was some meaning to them.
February 20, 201313 yr Harlem Shake is absolute shite. I'd go as far as saying it's WORSE than Gangnam Style (and I hated that). I liked Gangnam Style; but Harlem Shake is just a step too far! The sooner it disappears, the better!

I guess that it has a generic synth that is perfect for casual music lovers like me. It gets a bit repetitive towards the end of the song but the first minute of the song is brilliant at least. Scream And Shout has grown on me so much, it's one of my favourite songs from this decade now. :D Also, I think that if this song smashed, everyone would be saying that it is crap apart from me. sDEXUaAjh7E Oh, it's also a song by Baauer. :kink:

February 21, 201313 yr I'm not going as far to say it's "one of the worst songs ever" (even though it's probably close imo), but I am (sorta) with Alex Range on 'Wuthering Heights'. I really, really hate it. I just find it whiny and horrible to listen to.

I took a toilet break last Saturday (actually Sunday) when it came on. And what I produced there had better production than that track. BUT good times ahead as this song entered the Dutch top40 last week and I read several predictions that the commercial dance is gonna be more 90s influenced. February 21, 201313 yr Loved Harlem Shake even before it became an internet phenomenon. It's definitely NOT deserving to be one of the worst songs ever oh my. Scream and Shout is indeed less pleasant than eating shit straight out of someone's ass (not that I tried it (but AlexRange might've done that idk)).
February 21, 201313 yr Diamonds is easily Rihanna's best single. Definitely one of her better efforts for me too. Take a Bow, We Ride, Rockstar as some of her worst.
