  • A new contender for the worst song ever that I've had to discover 25 years later thanks to BuzzJack of course... How did this even become a chart success down under??? Save me from this horrible me

Diamonds & Stay are both equally as disappointing, and fairly dull. The latter should be beautiful, but for whatever reason, it just isn't.

I don't think she'll ever beat We Found Love for me, which 15/16 months down the line, still sounds as amazing as ever, and is probably one of my favourite ever songs (too soon to say that?).

Yes, but there is literally no meaning or depth to Diamonds at all.

Equally, songs dont have to have meaning or depth to be great.

If you dont like it, you dont like it and that is fair enough.

Because at least Stay has some form of meaning, depth and personal relevance to me. Diamonds does not have any of these things.

No, it's one of my favourites of all time as well. It's much better than most of the songs that I've ever heard.

Diamonds has melody for me - in the verse especially and the chorus is wonderful. It may well fade in the future but for now it's my favourite Rihanna song.

BITCH PLEASE. Some of the stuff you listen to is duller than 'Stay'! :P In fact I'm surprised you've shaded it considering it's being seen as "quite dull" :kink:

EDIT: Also I don't get the hate both 'Diamonds' and 'Stay' are receiving! :( They're both lovely ('Stay' is my second favourite RiRi song, behind 'Fire Bomb').

Army Of Two is abysmal and diabolical in every sense. It's surely going to be a contender for the worst song of all time at some point for me. :puke:
I prefer Diamonds to Stay. At least Diamonds has something to it, Stay is just monotonous. I don't dislike it, but all the exposure it's had lately has caused me to go off it a bit.

What Diamonds has great meaning just as Stay does. I'm with Jon both don't deserve the hate they are getting.

But for some people Stay has a closer meaning than Diamonds, because they've been in similar situations, I think that's what Griff tried to say

Yeah I guess it would do but Diamonds has a nice meaning Imo.

Yeah, Stay means a lot more to me because I've been in a similar situation in the past. Meanwhile, I can't interpret or make out a particular meaning of Diamonds at all. It's just a mindless rambling on about nothing at all for me.
The thing is, when I listen to Rihanna (and presumably alot of other people got the same) I don't listen to her 'cause I want to identify myself in her songs, I got other artists for that. I just want to hear good pop songs. 'Stay' is incredibly boring.

I feel Mikky Echo owns this song. His voice is just soo awesome.
