November 29, 201213 yr I seriously hope 'Locked Out Of Heaven' does not go to #1 next week. really? I quite like it, and it´s way better than other songs on the chart
November 29, 201213 yr I seriously hope 'Locked Out Of Heaven' does not go to #1 next week. Second this. If no new entries can make it next week I hope Olly can stay there for another week.
November 30, 201213 yr I remember at the time she released her album, there was a hype about her featuring on Jay-Z 'Empire State of Mind' and that catapulted in people buying her album. Plus the fact that she did the broken down version of the song and in turn kept the album selling. Without that type of exposure, she will go back to the way it was before. I was hoping 50 cent would release the song 'New Day' off his forthcoming album a couple of weeks ago so that people will find out she has own version on her album. They played it on choice fm months ago but she didn't release the album for people to cherry pick it. I hope next year will be better. I was hearing New Day on Choice and 1Xtra loads aswell. But they had to pull it off the radio for some reason, and 50's just released a replacement song instead. I think something to do with them not having rights to the sample or something, or Alicia not wanting them to use it anymore.
November 30, 201213 yr Right enough - so who will be no1 next week? November 30, 201213 yr Author Right enough - so who will be no1 next week? Theres no big releases - maybe a climber from the XF - here who i think it could be between - Pink - Try Gabrielle Aplin - The Power of Love Bruno Mars - Locked out of Heaven Labrinth/Emeli Sande - Beneathe Your Beautiful Olly murs - Troublemaker 1D - Little Things (cd release) I have an awful feeling Bruno Mars might snatch a week, but hoping Olly will stay at #1 for a third week with an X Factor boost over the weekend, not sure about Pink, Alicia Keys performance didn't have that much of an effect, my guess Pink will climb a fair bit. The other tracks not likely, anyhow mid update coming pretty soon, hopefully on time.
November 30, 201213 yr Hopefully Pink will recreate her performance from the American Music awards. That was incredible
November 30, 201213 yr If PINK does that performance, she has a hell of a good chance at being number 1. It's nothing short of impressive.
November 30, 201213 yr Author Midweek Charts update: X Factor lifts Mars and Rihanna Source: MW by Paul Willams Bruno Mars and Rihanna's singles are heading back into the UK top three after being performed on The X Factor, but they will not catch Olly Murs. Sales of Mars' Atlantic-issued Locked Out Of Heaven are up 67% on the week so far to lift it 9-2 in midweeks, while Rihanna's Def Jam/Mercury track is up 36% to rise 10-3, according to the Official Charts Company. Both tracks were performed on last Sunday's X Factor results show, the same platform on which the releases currently occupying positions 1, 4, 5 and 6 on the midweeks were also performed in previous weeks. Heading the race, Epic act Olly Murs featuring Flo Rida's Troublemaker is currently ahead by around 11,000 sales and should secure a second week at No 1 on Sunday. Labrinth's Syco single Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Emeli Sande holds at 4, while RCA act Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire remains at 5, while Robbie Williams' Island-issued Candy climbs back up 8-6, no doubt helped by his O2 arena shows in North Greenwhich. Murs is also leading the artist albums midweeks as he looks to simultaneously head both main sales charts for the first time in his career. The newly-issued Epic album Right Place Right Time was nudging 90,000 sales by the end of business on Thursday and should safely accumulate a six-figure sales number by the end of the week, while Syco act One Direction's Take Me Hone holds at 2 and Rihanna's Def Jam/Mercury album Unapologetic drops 1-3. An expanded version of Michael Buble's Reprise/Warner Bros set Christmas lifts 5-4, while Girls Aloud's new Polydor best of Ten is new at 5. There are also Top 10 new entries at this stage of the week from Neil Diamond and Jeff Wayne. Diamond's Columbia set The Very Best Of is at 9 and Wayne's The War Of The Worlds - New Generation from the same record company is at 10. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 Olly Murs (11k ahead) 2 Bruno Mars 3 Rihanna 4 Labrinth/Emeli Sande 5 Alcia Keys Top 10 6 Robbie Williams 10 Ke$ha Top 15 Christina Perri Swedish House Mafia/John Martin Top 20 19 Script Top 30 Ed Sheeran Taylor Swift [iKYWT] DJ Fresh 26 Pink Ladywell Primary School 29 Imagine Dragons [Hear Me] 30 Imagine Dragons [Radioactive] Top 40 Athlete Naughty Boy/Emeli Sande 36 Pogues/Kirsty MacColl 39 Mariah Carey Script [sDOS] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Olly Murs (90k) 2 One Direction 3 Rihanna 4 Mchael Buble 5 Girls Aloud Top 10 8 Robbie Williams 9 Neil Diamond 10 Jeff Wayne Top 15 14 Alicia Keys Top 20 Il Divo 19 McFly Script Top 30 22 Katherine Jenkins 25 Kelly Clarkson NO SALES INFO
November 30, 201213 yr Author All the info is ripped out from the report, we don't have anything else at the moment, there seems to be some sort of problem on MW databases, and its happening every Friday now, just be patient, hopefully it gets fixed pretty soon.
November 30, 201213 yr Olly Murs has done so well, we all know album sales are not great at the moment so hitting over 100K in one week is brilliant.
November 30, 201213 yr Girls aloud keep falling on every update :) brilliant Hardly surprising seeing as they have already achieved a million+ selling 'Greatest Hits' already and the 3 new songs have been cherry picked - I am actually shocked its doing as well as it is, Was expecting it to be at around #7 in the first midweek update.
November 30, 201213 yr With big saturday sales at this time of year Olly should hit 125k imo - decent sales - looking forward to seeing how well Buble is selling. The promo in the next few weeks should be interesting - Will big promo xmas shows for McFly, Girls Aloud Rod Stewart, Buble and 1D help to make them the xmas no1 album?

To be honest though there are songs like "Call the shots", "Can't speak French" and "The Promise" that weren't on the previous GH. But yes, it hasn't much new material to it. I hope they can have a nice run in the charts until New Year. And then we can look forward the tour which is gonna be pretty BIG ! Edited November 30, 201213 yr by Hayzayy
November 30, 201213 yr Olly on 90k already, that's at least 100k in bag for him then! If weekend sales are big enough, he should easily do 120-130k.
November 30, 201213 yr Olly is selling great, and should easily pass 120,000. Girls Aloud still doing better than i expected, i would ideally love to see them hold top 5.
November 30, 201213 yr Author We have update, it was a case of finding them in a different place
