December 9, 201213 yr I'm pleased at this result, solely for the fact Bruno was blocked. I already knew the result due to unfortunately seeing that spoiler earlier though.
December 9, 201213 yr I do love the number ones a week or two before Christmas, they seem to all have great chart runs before reaching number one - The Power of Love, Dance With Me Tonight, The Time (Dirty Bit), Bad Romance etc. :P Glad and surprised Gabrielle is number one, would have thought Bruno could overtake.
December 9, 201213 yr Stop reading Digital Spy, it's not good for you. I actually read it in an interview she did..
December 9, 201213 yr Yes! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: The best song won as well. :D I'm actually beginning to like this song, forgive me for my sins. :( And that's an interesting chart run! :D Edited December 9, 201213 yr by ★ G R I E F ★
December 9, 201213 yr If Bruno can scrape it next week I will be very happy. As it is, yay Gabrielle. Love The Power of Love.
December 9, 201213 yr The Power Of Love to be #1 please! Oh Dandy*, I really hope you're saying this because you hate Bruno and not because you like Gabrielle :(
December 9, 201213 yr Didn't realise Emeli Sande's album had been in the top 10 since its release, 43 weeks ago. With X-Factor coverage tonight, she's bound to definitely still be there until the New Year; and then climb in all the sales. The Critics are SPOT ON when it comes to predicting big things, this year's top 3 should be very excited.
December 9, 201213 yr 'Locked Out Of Heaven' is the third song of the year to peak at #2 for 3 weeks, after Emeli Sandé's 'Next To Me' and Sean Paul's 'She Doesn't Mind', fact fans. I was just about to mention that. :drama: We don't really have a stand-out song this year that was #2 for ages like we did with In For the Kill, Love the Way You Lie and Moves Like Jagger in the past. I guess Next to Me was the "biggest" of the three this year though.
December 9, 201213 yr 'Locked Out Of Heaven' is the third song of the year to peak at #2 for 3 weeks, after Emeli Sandé's 'Next To Me' and Sean Paul's 'She Doesn't Mind', fact fans. Didn't Next to Me and She Doesn't Mind outsell at least one of the songs which was number one when they were at two with overall total sales?
December 9, 201213 yr Great to see Gabrielle stopping Bruno getting another #1 :D (even though I knew it would happen when SOMEONE spoilt it at 5.00) The next few #1s should be X Factor Winner Justice Collective Will I Am and Britney Spears So yeah, thanks UK public for not letting Bruno go to #1 :yahoo:
December 9, 201213 yr I wonder if Bruno will remain a really unlucky number 2 or if he'll manage to get to number 1 in the new year. The Power of Love is an OK number 1, I would've preferred Bruno however unpopular that opinion is.
December 9, 201213 yr Hurrah for Gabrielle - lovely cover of a xmas classic. Now, Bruno for number 1 next week please :D (won't happen, maybe the New Year?)
December 9, 201213 yr Ah well, that's Bruno's chance gone :( Still not a bad #1 though, would never have predicted Gabrielle Aplin to get a UK No.1 before the end of the year!
December 9, 201213 yr Oh Dandy*, I really hope you're saying this because you hate Bruno and not because you like Gabrielle :( I absolutely hate the Bruno track, I think it's a complete mess. Whilst it's nowhere near as good as the original, I don't mind the Gabrielle track and it's by far the more preferable of the two for me. Sorry!
December 9, 201213 yr The next few #1s should be X Factor Winner Justice Collective Will I Am and Britney Spears Kill me now then! :drama:
