Warm This Winter FINALLY top 300

49. One Pound Fish (Radio Mix) - £1 Fish Man - I'm guessing #1 is out of the picture now then :nocheer: Hope it can at least get top 40!

75. Misty Mountains - Richard Armitage & The Dwarf Cast

277. Animal - Conor Maynard

Woaaaaaaaah! It's getting close :o

Remember the physical is on top of that. They will more than make up for the climb if the pre-order numbers we have are correct.

Justice Collective 0.9375 now

It should be there by tomorrow at some point.

Would have been such an interesting battle had Justice Collective released on Sunday. They've surely got something like a 60-70k deficit to make up that James will have sold yesterday...I think that decision may have helped to chose the winner of this battle.

I agree to an extent, I think had Justice Collective released yesterday, they would have been a sure fire number one, it's still close on who will be number one this week. It's weird to think that James Arthur has sold so much more than the two previous winners with much less viewers.

30. Alex Day - Stupid Stupid (Looks like this might miss the top 40 at the speed it's dropping at)

48. £1 Fish Man - One Pound Fish

112. Girls Aloud - Beautiful Cause You Love Me

113. Solange - Losing You

160. Jls - Hold Me Down

180. Taio Cruz - Fast Car

192. Carly Rae Jepsen - This Kiss

200. Tulisa - Sight Of You

227. Kelly Clarkson - Catch My Breath

228. Bruno Mars - Marry You (59p Now)

249. The Pogues - Fairytale Of New York (59p)

260. Nicki Minaj - Freedom

280. Conor Maynard - Animal

You think James sold 60k on Sunday? I find that really high, would put him at over 300k for this week. I see him selling 200k this week.

Maybe a little less but 45k downloads and 15k physicals seems reasonable for a Sunday, and using a multiplier of 3 and a bit (Sunday X 5 rarely happens) would put him on 180k-200k. He was still selling 3 times as much as will/Britney yesterday on iTunes, which would put them on about 20k for Sunday, which again sounds feasable.

The x3 is for the 1st set of Midweeks which used to be a Tuesday, which would mean even if he halved his sales Monday that would be 90k for his 1st midweek position and 270k for the week.

I'd say 35k-40k Sunday and 65-70k for Midweeks tomorrow if we get them.

I'm surprised at the performance of Alex Day - I didn't expect this to be another 'Forever Yours' but at this rate it looks likely to do worse than 'Lady Godiva' despite having what seemed like more hype and that Stupidfest thing everyone was talking about. I would feel bad for him but I'm not sure why he bothers releasing these singles anyway - it's all a bit pointless.

Well its certainly going to be close! I think Physicals will decide the winner -

Impossible:

iTunes #1

HMV Physical #2

HMV MP3 #1

Amazon Physical #2

Amazon MP3 #1

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother:

iTunes #2

Amazon Physical #1

Amazon MP3 #2

Single and MP3 not listed in the HMV Top 20 yet but the Eddie Stobart's charity single is #17

 69. Pursuit of Happiness (Steve Aoki Remix) [Extended] - Kid Cudi

Anyone know why this is back again? Used in another ad I guess? Hope it can beat its peak of #84.

^ It's a good song, but I can't really understand why it gets used in so many things. It's used in a couple of movies as well, which is I think what keeps it constantly in the iTunes chart.

Not that pointless, he is on course for his 3rd top 40 song! there are many artist that will be thrilled to bits with that!

Yes, but I don't see what he's trying to achieve through this. I suppose it's possible that he just wants to be able to say "hey, I've had a few high peaking songs!", but he's not getting a career out of this or anything so the constant campaigns come across as odd. That said, it's quite possible he's making a fair amount of money out of the singles, so he could just be using these singles as a way for his fanbase to prop up his bank account too. I guess it's just hard for me to imagine someone releasing singles that isn't trying to get album sales/keep their record deal.

Looks like Justice Collective are falling already as they climbed to 94% earlier and are now back at 93%.

Maybe Will.i.am will be the first number one of 2012 after all as he's reduced the gap on James Arthur to 50%, I expected will.i.am to fall quite fast if i'm being honest!

Alex Day does way better than the vast majority of unsigned artists. Although I think most of them just don't bother trying to get chart hits in the first place. They probably make money by live performances, etc.
Does anyone know if Christina Perri's Christmas album has been released on iTunes over here? Her version of 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' is absolutely beautiful.
Im hoping James Arthur can fend the Justice Collective off and strangely the physicals could play big part in who will be number 1. I think overall James can raise more money for charity and like others said stay around for longer whereas the Justive Collective will drop like a stone after 3 weeks.

They'll both drop like a stone - XF & charity singles never have any staying power.

I'd have said maybe 40k on Sunday, leading to perhaps 200k for the week.

It scraped just 1 week at #142 on 1/12/12.
