Even if it did and Sweden sent 'Copacabanana', would he/the country get done for plagiarising 'Gangnam Style'? (For the record, I don't think either tracks sound like either songs, but it'd be the equivalent, imo) or does it only count if songs sound like other Eurovision songs?

I couldn't abide Cascada at their peak, terribly naff dance music but not even with the passing charm to make it likeable.

"Glorious" however is very hard to dislike. It just pushes the right buttons, in a very obvious and forceful kind of way - perfect for Eurovision in other words and currently gets my 12 points!

IMO at this early stage, it's a 2 horse race between Germany and Denmark for the winner (although I'll be well annoyed if Denmark win).

By the way: CR of Glorious in the German charts: 36-6-23. Not THAT impressive, at leat one week inside the top 20.

Last year Roman Lob entered the charts at No.3, than fell down very quickly but climbed back to No.11 after the ESC (and his 8th place).

Still don't like Glorious but I think that Cascada is a good choice as an ESC-contestant.

Here is Cascada performing the Eurovision (3 minute) version of 'Glorious' at the Echo Awards this week! Fantastic vocals and I'm glad that they didn't get rid of the dance breakdown after the 1st chorus!

Also, both Roman and Lena won an award at the Echo Awards for the best radio song for 'Standing Still' and best national video for 'Stardust' respectively, with Lena even presenting Roman's! So much Eurovision! :cheer: You can see the award presentations below:

I prefered the edit they used at the ECHO awards but I guess I'm so used to the 3:30 version now that it just sounds weird.

I think I'm used to the 3.30 edit also, but one thing's for sure... this is definitely my second favourite single from them now! (Behind the almighty 'Everytime We Touch', obviously).
It's up into the top three alongside Evacuate The Dancefloor and Everytime We Touch for me  I don't mind the new edit, it's a little jarring at first but I'll get used to it, none of the best bits have been cut.

Fantastic live vocals despite the distractions!

Apparently during the rehearsal yesterday, Cascada used the ECHO Awards version of the song where the instrumental breakdown after the first chorus is present! :cheer:
I still cant see this winning, i think it will scrape a top 5 finish on the night.
I think a top 5 finish would be fantastic, I'm just hoping that they can finish top 10 at least! Definitely deserve to win though!

Glorious/CR/German charts: 36 06 23 29 43 52 55 61 82 94 97 out (113). Not that... enthusiastic.

Maybe they will climb back in the middle regions of the charts if they reach a moderate position inside the top 10 on Saturday.

It's not really important what Germany think of it though is it?

If this runs in the last few songs, book your tickets for Berlin ASAP!

I think I prefer the Eurovision edit rather than the ECHO awards edit. It's literally just chorus. I'm not quite sure how taking out one breakdown equates to losing 30 seconds though
What a disaster for this, I was elated to finally see Cascada live and it had so much energy and support in the arena, but probably because of her star power. Such a shame it flopped so hard, all things considered it's probably my favourite entry this year.
Even though I think it sounds nothing like 'Euphoria', I fear it may have been too similar in genre to do well. Because the performance was excellent, not a terrible draw in the running order and Natalie's vocals were pretty spot on. Maybe if they'd have entered next year, they may have fared better.
Apparently the German broadcaster claims that Cascada flopped because of the anti-German sentiment in Europe at the moment. Completely ignoring the top 10 placings they had the past 3 years.
