February 14, 201312 yr YES Cascada! It was good to have Margaret Berger along for the ride but Cascada are one of the biggest acts ever in my chart - four #1 albums and about 15 top ten singles! Cannot WAIT to see Natalie live, been dying to for years :D
February 14, 201312 yr I am SO happy! What a fantastic performance it was as well! Was not expecting strong vocals like that! :D
February 15, 201312 yr GOD YES! *.* So JEALOUS of you Rich. Going to see them live now! Grr. I don't think I've ever seen a "live" Cascada performance, but that was brilliant! She slayed left, right and center! So, SO pleased they're going to Eurovision. They will FINALLY have another UK Top 40 hit too! Pretty sure of it. *Cascada stan mode officially activated*
February 15, 201312 yr I can't say it's a song I'm going to particularly want to listen to ever again, but it's a decent entry and should do quite well.
February 15, 201312 yr Fantastic entry choice, Cascada love reawakened. This'll do well. I don't think it'll win but it should be a contender for sure.
February 15, 201312 yr Euphoria Version 2.0 - what a shame for Germany! I hope this is getting disqualified because it's obviously the same song!
February 15, 201312 yr Author It's not even that similar, really. It's dancey, and being sent to Eurovision - but that's about all.
February 15, 201312 yr Does this make Germany the early faves to win Eurovision? Are there any other entries that have the potential to do well (I've yet to hear Norway's entry but seeing Margaret Berger and knowing she's done well in BJSC doesn't eqate to success in Eurovision imhumbleo :P ).
February 15, 201312 yr I Feed You My Love is brilliant, I'm not sure it's a winner but it is definitely one of the biggest contenders at this stage. I'd say the contenders this far are Germany, Norway and possibly Denmark but having only heard ~15 entries so far it's hard to tell, and I'm bad at predicting anyway
February 16, 201312 yr Cascada as the German entry is okay, but Glorious sucks as f***ing hell! Scheiße!!!
February 18, 201312 yr Yeh, which Boström already denied after which he added he thought it sounded more like SHM.
February 18, 201312 yr I played the song in the car a couple of weeks ago and the first thing my dad said was "I bet that's Cascada". You can tell Cascada's sound and they have always been doing dance tracks like this, so these accusations better not lead anywhere!
February 19, 201312 yr Yep. This has always been Cascada's "sound". The more I listen to it, the more it definitely IS a Cascada track (if that makes sense ). I did (slightly) get the small 'Euphoria' similarities, but they've been completely erased each time I listen to it and I really don't think it sounds like it at all anymore. It doesn't sound like a SHM song, either. It's definitely Cascada. It's like 'How Do You Do' meets 'What Do You Want From Me'! I hope they don't get disqualified :\
February 19, 201312 yr I don't get this plagiarism case at all. If it plagiarises anything it's just their own old album tracks  Euphoria, as life enhancing as it is, didn't exactly invent the Eurodance genre did it?
February 19, 201312 yr They're similar in structure and what happens in each part (e.g. slow first verse, building up to the instrumental chorus) but I don't see why Glorious is be seen as a plagiarism of Euphoria? I really hope it doesn't get disqualified as Glorious is the best Eurovision entry I've heard so far for 2013!
February 19, 201312 yr When does cascada never get slated for sounding like something else. It will be interesting to see where they come. I don't see them winning.
February 19, 201312 yr German Newspaper 'Bild' interviewed producer and composer of 'Euphoria' Thomas G:Son and he says that he believes there is no plagiarism in 'Glorious'. He said: "When the German authorities indeed believe that it might be plagiarism of one of our songs, they can investigate that. It’s their right to do so. In general, pop songs are alike. We definitely feel honoured. It’s not plagiarism to us, however. When you would look at the composition in a wavetable, you would see that 10,000 pop songs have similar courses." Also Natalie from Cascada reacted by saying: "We can willingly compare both songs. They’re two different songs." Read more here: http://escxtra.com/2013/02/gson-its-not-plagiarism-to-us/ To me, that should be the end of it! Thomas G:Son is perfectly right in what he is saying, and now that he confirms that there is no plagiarism in 'Glorious' these accusations should be stopped. Edited February 19, 201312 yr by Ryan.
