Bon Jovi this week and David Bowie is hitting the headlines with new a track but not eligible to chart. So far 2013 has taken a nice twist.

I love to see the Jam reform and grab another chart hit.

If Celine Dion is releasing her album this year, then a Top 20 lead single would go down a treat! :D

Oh and obviously Kylie, although she seems to be doing fine chart wise, especially with her previous lead single All the Lovers doing so well.

Definitely U2, although I have no doubt that when they do eventually come back, they'll still be able to get massive album sales and maybe a semi-hit single.

The Bangles would also be a lovely surprise, not that that's ever gonna happen :P

No chance with The Jam I'm afraid, two of the band (Paul Weller and Rick Buckler) haven't spoken in 30 years

The Stone Roses have supposedly got new material written, albums-wise they could chart higher than before they broke up. Read the same for The Smiths if the impossible dream happens.
Spice Girls reform and chart slay please - Failing that a string of #1's for Geri Halliwell :kink:

-Kylie Minogue

-Bananarama (they released an amazing Ep in 2012 that didn't chart)

-Duran Duran ( their last single Girl Panic had one of the most expensive videos of all time.yet it didn't chart so hope they do this time around)

-Janet Jackson

-Cyndi Lauper

-Sheryl Crow

-Garbage

-Roxette

-Blur

-Geri Haliwell

-George Michael

-Pet Shop Boys

etc...

-Janet Jackson

I think the last song of hers to reach the Top 75 was Make Me (only something like #73, even with an X Factor performance), and that was brilliant! Would love another song like that.

It's only been a few months since George Michael was last in the chart and as high as #15! Okay so that had the huge benefit of an Olympics performance but still :P

And Cyndi Lauper is heading for the top 10 this week through a namecheck in 'Drinking From The Bottle' :kink: Blondie in that as well.

The bolded ones have already been back in the charts recently. Blur, PSBs and George Michael 'flopped' but Kylie did well just over 2 years ago.

Same here. I'm sort of disapponted with "Sonik Kicks". And even though Paul said that the band reunite is unlikely, i still believe they would.

Suede and Depeche Mode could get surprise top 40 hits.

Especially Suede. Wish them to have at least a Top 10 hit.

I'm also looking forward to hear new Stone Roses material. The Smiths new album would be just a tremendous event!

Also:

New Order

Fleetwood Mac (some new material have already been announced for release in 2013)

So does castor oil - but it soon comes back up again... :P

Ultravox released a surprisingly great new album last year, it's a shame nothing charted from it (although I think the album itself went top 20).

I'd only consider Blur's singles as flops if they actually put a lot of work into promoting them. Was that the case?

I'd love for Tori Amos to have another Top 40 hit - been 14 years since the last one.

Never going to happen unless she records a cover of something and it gets used in a high profile film.

So any act that releases a record and does not promote it heavily enough and flops is then not counted as a flop?!
