I predict performances from Emeli Sande, Jake Bugg, probably Rihanna again, fun., Paloma Faith, Alt-J, maybe Adele (mega boost for Skyfall, thanks!) and some other acts who have had a moderately successful album the past year but little singles chart activity.

Might do the awards later.

Surely Frank Ocean is at least a shoe-in for a nomination in the International Male category.

Thinking about it, if Frank Ocean was invited to perform and he sung 'Thinkin Bout You', I'm wondering whether it would have a significant effect on the singles chart.

It probably would, but Adele aside they do try and get only the most successful acts from the previous year on.

Muse are probably a better bet than the Vaccines for the album nod but otherwise those predictions look pretty solid.

I was thinking about Best British Single the other day, that looks like a pretty good list but I was unsure whether they'd have Emeli on twice, even if one is just a featured credit. "Troublemaker" & "Little Things" will hopefully be up, maybe in place of Alex Clare.

"Little Things" (or any One Direction single) won't appear. The Best British Single award is usually the 10 biggest-selling British singles of the past year combined with airplay, and I don't think that's even in the top 20 on sales. It'll be interesting not having an act with a huge fanbase in this category for a change though, after One Direction, JLS, Girls Aloud and Take That have won 5 of the past 6 (with a surprise win for Labrinth in 2011)!

Not sure if Emile will attend let alone perform. She likes to keep herself to herself and isn't really one to appear on TV etc.

I agree about the Frank Ocean comment, he surely has to get some recognition.

I think Olly Murs could do very well, he seems to do no wrong atm.

There's probably something obvious that I've excluded but this is what I think it'll look like for now. Who I think will win in italics.

Of course she will turn up and she will more than likely perform if she turned up to the Mobos she will defintely turn up to the Brits which is considered more prestigious than the Mobo's her management would probably make sure she goes.

I think Maverick Sabre and Michael Kiwanuka might both get places in the British Male group. Hoping for Alt-J and Plan B get a few nominations

Yes to Maverick Sabre! He's probably my favourite solo male of 2012, so he at least deserves a nomination as British Male or British Album. A nomination for Plan B's ill Manors would be great after he himself doubted it would sell well in the charts.

I'm not liking the look of that statue! It's not been great since they've had famous artists doing it - I'd much rather the stuck with the original silver design [/boring].

I'm looking forward to the nominations, particularly albums and singles. My favourite British albums last year are unlikely to be noticed, but it'd be nice for Paloma Faith to be nominated for it, despite it clearly being Emeli's award.

I expect Emeli Sande to share at least part of every performance. She'll probably sneak best male award too. I'm sure there'll be mention of her winning the critics choice everytime she wins something and they'll go on about how they'd correctly predicted her success (forget the fact she'd already had a top 2 hit 6 months earlier)

But seriously, would love Pink and Maroon 5 to win something but that'll never happen.

I will announce the nominations (like last year) when they are officially announced! :D

Aren't the nominations meant to be revealed on the Brit Awards Twitter feed?

I don't think that Maverick Sabre will get any nominations. :( Plan B should get some nominations, but we'll see. ^_^

Hope Olly gets a nod for Best British Male
