Argh 'Black Chandelier' so close to matching 'Saturday Superhouse' :( Ah well, outpeaking 'The Captain' I guess! So glad to see this top 15, last week I wouldn't have predicted it to even go top 40

'Black Chandelier' This is only the third time I've heard it and I still like it. Pleased to see them get another top 20 hit! Hopefully their new album will give me another 'Many Of Horror' or 'The Captain' or basically anything from their last album  Their last album was amazing.

YESSS Biffy, much better result than I was anticipating last week :o First #1 album on the way?

Why has Black Chandelier done so much better than Stinging Belle? I swear Radio 1 were HAMMERING the latter last year! Nice to see them back in the top 20 anyhow, but this is a little too typical for them.

I forgot they had 5 Top 40 hits from 'Only Revelations' :o Pity Stinging Belle never made Top 40 :(
Well it's outpeaked the equivalent single from that last album but it'll probably be the only one from "Opposites" to do so. I still love that "That Golden Rule" made the top 10, one of the weirdest we've had in years.

Album Discussion Here

I blame Olly Murs' success for making Robbie think he has to come back with something as terrible as "Candy". Still don't understand the success of this, he seems to have nailed the "bland but hummable" niche though so fair play to him.
Emeli Sande's "Clown" for the ever-unpopular #11 position. 1D managed to pull ahead to #9 on Friday's update, so it's either Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" or Emeli Sande's "Clown" that's at #11.

Don't care much about this tune at all

Still loving 'Troublemaker'. I can't decide whether 'Dance With Me Tonight' or this is my favourite of his singles. Both so good, I think DWMT, but I get the feeling I'm only saying that as it's older. But there's also 'Busy' and 'Thinking Of Me'! Ugh. He's a very, very good artist, with three amazing albums.

Discussion Thread Here

An otherwise solid discography, bar the undeserving #45 peak of "Busy"; one of my favourite tracks by him. A similar situation to "Treatment" by Labrinth really - sometimes a single is overlooked by a still popular predecessor.

I don't think 'Stingin' Belle' was actually a proper single. 'Buzz single defence' I know :P but Wikipedia doesn't list it as a single. Still gonna list 'Black Chandelier' as the second single on the recaps though as 'Stingin' Belle' did have a video and some radio support.

I forgot they had 5 Top 40 hits from 'Only Revelations' :o Pity Stinging Belle never made Top 40 :(

'Stingin' Belle' couldn't have charted even if it was going to go top 40 anyway, as it was a pre-order single. (Might be part of the reason Wiki isn't counting that as a proper single...)

Also one of the best top 10 hits of recent years  Shame the even better 'The Captain' couldn't repeat the top 10 success.

Gangnam Style finally out of the top 10!

Indeed :o It's going to nosedive from here on in. I'm pretty bored of it, but given it will probably be the only significant K-pop hit in the UK ever (EVER!) it's slightly sad to see it go.

60% of "Gangnam Style"'s chart life, and 67% of those in the top 20 spent in multiples of 3. Bray, you'll surely know if this has happened before?

Jameela doesn't speak too much

I can't remember at what position did she speak the last time.

I'm sure it will come back when Britains Got Talents on. Somebody's bound to use it.
