1240. Devlin - Rewind (feat. Diane Birch)

#1240?

Are all the "Boyz In Da Hood" sleeping or what?

At least the EP has gone up to #17, only a mere 1239 tracks to overtake now.

Well, I did think at the time The Risk could have some future chart success :P So they'll be the 6th act from XF 2011 to get a top 100 single after the top 4 and Frankie. Janet Devlin has an album out soon which I imagine will have some impact but not sure she'll be able to get in the singles chart now.

Heard that Frightened Rabbit song earlier today (technically now yesterday), it sounded quite good! Would like to see it make the top 100 but I doubt it'll climb much higher than it is now.

YAY for 'Explosions'! What's with the sudden huge surge? Looking very likely to outpeak 'Figure 8' (which is a bad thing but yay for Ellie success in general).

I can't see Rewind doing much better than a top 20 place, the pre-order didn't seem to do alot

There's now an advert for the album which features the song and says it's £5.99 on iTunes. It was shown during Jonathan Ross, as well as the advert it already features on. I don't know if I wasn't paying attention properly, but I don't think the advert even mentioned "Figure 8". :(

Blimey at The Risk.

Echoing Bre, I'm pleased to see 'Explosions' doing well, but it's a little bittersweet re: 'Figure 8'.

I actually found myself purchasing Halcyon, Explosions is okay but their are better songs on the album. Disappointed that Explosions is going to outpeak the far superior Figure 8, which was awfully underrated.

I'm pretty sure just one performance on J Ross or Graham Norton would have propelled Figure 8 to dizzying heights. I almost wish she'd never released it now that it has gone down as a flop

Agreed! It works very well as a song from an advert, but the likes of "Only You" and "My Blood" would have been better. I guess the public tends to prefer her ballads though. (see "The Writer" outpeaking "Guns And Horses" and now "Explosions" and "Figure 8").

Yeahhh, I'm really disappointed with how it did. When I first heard it I thought "this HAS to be released, guaranteed top 10/15" but it was just the wrong time for it as a single. It's easily my highlight of the album - it's just the definition of epic AND heartbreaking. The production. *.*

When was Nicole Scherzinger able to pre-order? #350 is quite disappointing if you could have pre-ordered since Friday.

My Blood is fantastic. I actually really enjoy The Writer, I may prefer it to Gungs and Horses but I love that also.

Ellie needs to release 'Atlantis' but she probably won't (and that's probably for the best really). Definitely my highlight of the album besides the singles. 'Figure 8' obviously the best song ever.

I personally think ACH is the highlight of the album, Atlantis is a disaster in my opinion. After that it would be 'My Blood' and 'Only You'. The verse after the first chorus in Only You is SO massive. Love F8 until the final course and it all gets a bit much for me.

I thought "Figure 8" was a very weak single. Glad that the far superior "Explosions" has effectively now become the single.

"Guns And Horses" is my favourite by her and "The Writer" is my second favourite, so she did pretty well that era. (except "Starry Eyed" is one of my least favourites)

I LOVE "Atlantis", but I think the only songs that would do worse as singles are "Don't Say A Word" and "Dead In The Water". It's a stunning album from start to finish though, I really hope it starts to build some respectable sales.

Was about to say pretty much the same about 'Figure 8' (I haven't heard 'Explosions' yet), I just don't find anything particularly special about it tbh. 'Anything Could Happen' and - in particular - 'Starry Eyed' are her only tracks that I care for (that I've heard) to any notable degree.

Ellie's record label need to send Explosions to radio (or whatever they do in the UK), and make a music video for the song asap. They might as well make use of the interest in the song now, because she might probably struggle to get top 20 with anything else from her album otherwize.

72. Alicia Keys 'Brand New Me'

CLIMB  I wanted this top 40 after the performance. :(

 19. Ellie Goulding - Explosions

This is doing fantastic just from the ITV advert! :cheer:

What advert is in on?

Is it true that the guy from Pulp waved his arse in front of Michael Jackson once?

Yes, he was that particular man.

COME ON FRIGHTENED RABBIT! :w00t: I'm so proud of how they're doing so far!

This is the song for anyone who doesn't know it:
