February 13, 201313 yr Bloody hell for Gabrielle! :o Cannot believe she's this high, really goes to show how important pre-orders, EP sales and physical sales are for some artists! G'WON GODBRIELLE
February 13, 201313 yr So so so happy to see Avicii at #01. My favourite dance song in ages and my favourite song of 2013 so far .
February 13, 201313 yr Bloody hell for Gabrielle! :o Cannot believe she's this high, really goes to show how important pre-orders, EP sales and physical sales are for some artists! G'WON GODBRIELLE Maybe not all of her sales are being counted on the iTunes feed? Edited February 13, 201313 yr by Backtrack.
February 13, 201313 yr Maybe not all of her sales are being counted on the iTunes feed? Could be, but she has pre-orders from like September too, and the EP is still #2 on iTunes, so that could be helping her a lot. Still though, #3 is FANTASTIC! So happy for her.
February 13, 201313 yr Would never have thought Gabrielle Aplin would have such a successful follow-up to The Power of Love! Blimey at that jump for The Lumineers' Hey Ho - what's shot up their backside? So many falls this week: Fall Out Boy, Conor Maynard, Devlin and Matrix! Not sure how good Foals' first week sales are, but if their album does hold on to number one, I'm hoping for 40k+. Will be one to listen to as I quite like My Number. I hope Bullet for My Valentine stays Top 10 - Riot is so good! The Truth About Love back in the Top 20! :yahoo: Next stop, Top 10! Nice to see Justin Bieber flopping too. ^_^
February 13, 201313 yr Kinda not surprised to see Gabrielle top 3, I did think her EP and physical sales would put her a lot higher than she is on iTunes. Should be safe for top 10 by the end of the week at least. Bit disappointed it'd not going to be a #17 $MA$H after all though, such an awful song :( ARGH at The Lumineers being at #11, absolutely no chance of a top 10 re-entry then. If it didn't have that one week at #8 it'd surely be by far the most frustrating song ever for being top 10 on iTunes for weeks and weeks but never making it officially. It's going to be kicked out of the top 10 on iTunes soon anyway though (by Baauer of all people - all for his chart domination!) 'My Number' only needs to climb 2 more places to become Foals' highest peaking single ever now, looks like that's definitely gonna happen as it's top 15 on iTunes :D Pleased to see Drake in the top 30 (he's holding up far better than I expected and actually even climbing on iTunes so should be on for at least a top 40 this week if not climbing from his current position) and 'Mirrors' just showing up, think that's enough evidence now that pre-order album tracks are now chart eligible by default. Thank you David Bowie. 7k lead for 'Holy Fire', that is rather encouraging. I think they should hold on now unless there's some event that'll cause a sales spike for Les Mis later in the week. Not surprised in the slightest at Bullet looking like missing the top 5 and maybe even the top 10, can't believe people were suggesting they'd beat Foals! Wow at Modestep still being relevant enough to get a top 20 midweek album especially as dubstep is hardly an album seller. 'Babel' back in the top 10 and 'Sigh No More' back in the top 40 thanks to the Grammys :cheer: 'I Will Wait' should re-enter the top 100 on the singles as well! And also, '21' is back in the top 40 at #37 (not mentioned on the update, neither is 'Sigh No More'), coming up to that 100 weeks top 40 mark now, this will be its 99th I think if it holds on! Blimey at that jump for The Lumineers' Hey Ho - what's shot up their backside? *Ho Hey :P And it was used on Dancing On Ice. Edited February 13, 201313 yr by Bré
February 13, 201313 yr Worries me that Gab Aplin is soo high with EPs outside of the top 2 sales could be below 40k! Edited February 13, 201313 yr by steve201
February 13, 201313 yr Tegan & Sara at #23!? Brilliant. Also brilliant to see Justin Timberlake at #31 (with 'Suit & Tie' on the climb too!)
February 13, 201313 yr 8 new entries in the chart this week, woohoo! About time too, the charts were getting so stale.
February 13, 201313 yr *Ho Hey :P And it was used on Dancing On Ice. I can never remember which way round it's meant to be because I keep thinking of Robbie's Candy where he sings "Hey, ho, here she comes...". :P But thanks! I always forget about Dancing on Ice - I've not seen it on TV and haven't heard any hype for it.
February 13, 201313 yr Funny how medium sized hits like Devlin Matrix & Futurebound & 50 Cent fall dramatically when radio 1 playlisting is removed!!
February 13, 201313 yr Author 'Babel' back in the top 10 and 'Sigh No More' back in the top 40 thanks to the Grammys :cheer: 'I Will Wait' should re-enter the top 100 on the singles as well! And also, '21' is back in the top 40 at #37 (not mentioned on the update, neither is 'Sigh No More'), coming up to that 100 weeks top 40 mark now, this will be its 99th I think if it holds on! Top 40 albums is now sorted, thanks to Radio 1, they marked those albums as going down.
February 13, 201313 yr Gabrielle #3!? Woah, surprising to see Gabrielle at #03 :o Never saw that coming Gabrielle #3 Gab at 3 :o I echo these sentiments, but just like everyone else, I have absolutely no idea where those sales have come from? I'm certainly not complaining though! :cheer:
February 13, 201313 yr i only just found out Emilia Mitiku who is at number 15 in the album charts is the same Emilia who released 'Big Big World' way back! awesome
February 13, 201313 yr Call me shocked too at Gabrielle Aplin being as high as #3! Must be the EP sales, she stopped Avicii going to #1 in the albums chart so clearly she would've had to sell a lot to do that. Avicii #1  Great to see the best song of 2013 at #1! DJ Baauer at #22 is great to see as well, thanks KSI for getting "Get Hyper" and now this into the charts (even if in the case of the latter it's not just KSI promoting it) Always nice to see bass music doing well.
