The charts were so f**ked up in 2005! How Elvis Pressley even managed to get one uk #1 that year i'll never know.

Same way most records get to number one - a clever marketing campaign.

Duke Dumont is #1 combined now at 108.07%

:yahoo:

I knew that it would get there eventually! :D

I keep thinking that it's not gonna get #1. I think they held it back too long, and Pink will end up #1 this week (and possibly next week too).

If only.

Pink has blown her chance now i think.

blown it one last kiss? (Apologies, couldn't resist)

I don't think he would've got all those #1s this year if they tried that. Sales for a #1 are much higher now, and also less people buy physical copies of songs than back then, so even if the sales were as low as back then they'd probably have more difficulty selling that amount.

01 (1.0807) Duke Dumont - Need U (100%)

02 (1.0000) PJ & Duncan - Let's Get Ready to Rhumble

03 (0.9574) Pink - Just Give Me a Reason

04 (0.7654) The Saturdays - What About Us

05 (0.7058) Bastille - Pompeii

06 (0.6958) Justin Timberlake - Mirrors

Once PJ & Duncan are dethroned on iTunes, I reckon it'll be a quick descent down the chart. I'm going to say now that the highest they'll be come Sunday 7th April is at #4 - Pink will overtake shortly after the initial fall and The Saturdays surely won't be too far behind.

I think people may have been slightly overestimating how well Need U (100%) was going to do - I mean obviously it's going to go to #1, but maybe not on as high sales as everyone was anticipating. That said, it may start increasing its lead tomorrow so it being The Saturday's sales from last week could well be within reach.
Michael Buble will likely stay top 10 for next sunday and get hi a top 10 single, his single success isnt huge but he more than makes up for it in the album chart!!
