Neither album in general get much play from me, with body language chocolate is the best for me and slow both i do listen to, with kiss me once into the blue and les sex are the only songs i replay but not all the time or in any way close to many other Kylie songs i listen to. The good thing is when Kylie releases album like these 2 she seems to listen to the fans and bounce back with a strong album after, i think she recovered really well after body language releasing i believe in you its exactly what was needed then, dancing was also a good comeback after kiss me once and kylie christmas. For me kylie just seems to be on a role since she joined bmg, as a fan i love what they have done together and padam padam doing so well now put her time with bmg really on the map along with 3 back to back number 1 albums which was something she didnt achieve before, i am hoping tension will also be added to that list. I think Kylie knows the fan response to kiss me once wasnt exactly the best but i think kylie herself kinda feels the same about the album.

Crazy how it’s being so ignored, she worked with SIA and Pharrell, surely those were career highlights. Guess it just doesn’t resonate enough within her back catalogue. Music business is brutal haha.
I agree with this and i think the switch in management etc added to that. Kiss Me Once and Kylie Christmas are probably back to back disappointments which doesnt happen often thank god in Kylies career, but with Kylie Christmas my expectations were low so it was better than i expected. I do remember vaguely thinking oh i hope this isnt the part where kylie releases music that i dont really enjoy anymore and i buy albums out of loyalty and keeping my collection complete but that was all put to bed with the release of Golden and the rest is history as they say.

I'd say the lack of inspiration was there to see after Aphrodite - the most classical Kylie-sounding album since Fever. Obviously, she would ponder "what's next?" after Aphrodite.

I didn't expect anything when she released Kylie Christmas but it turned out to be more enjoyable than KMO. And I love 100 Degrees.

I think after Aphrodite she could have went with a more clubbier sounding album, as it would have been different but following on the theme aswell although Kylie reraely does the same them twice in a row.. Kiss Me Once a bit like Body Language went in the complete opposite direction that just felt flat. I remember before anything came from kiss me once there was reports of Kylie signing to a new management and it getting hyped up a bit so i kinda had high expectations when Kylie was working with a new team, thankfully it was a short term relationship as i dont think the people she worked with fully understood her or understood what most of her fans wanted. Into the Blue was the right lead from the album and i dont think any other song would have done any better, as much as im not a fan of the album i was disappointed it missed out on Number 1, if she did muti format then the result may have been different.

I do agree about Kylie Christmas, like you, i wasn't expecting much and the album was better than i expected and i loved the Royal Albert Hall Christmas Show, i think Kylie really brought the songs alive in the live setting. I dont hate 100 degrees but i did expect something far greater from a Kylie and Dannii duet.

I think moreso than the music itself, they were trying to market her in away she wasn't comfortable with as like this sex kitten popstar at that point in her career - and I feel like the whole thing shown how the relationship with Parlophone had eroded... and it was the right time to move on.

It all makes up part of her journey and it all leads up to her being here, so I'd never really say anything should've happened differently for that reason. Nobody has a completely unblemished career, especially one that's lasted this long.

*Also I'm not sure multi-formating would have changed the outcome, the #1 that week sold nearly 60k to her 30k.

It definitely lead to her been here and the lull she went with KMO and KC lead to a greater path and I think it reinvigorated kylie as she just was so alive when promoting Golden you could just tell it was an album she was very happy with and I never felt that with Kiss Me Once.

We got quite a decent amount of physicals from KMO considering it was the days before throwing out 15 variants of each album

What does this have to do with Kiss Me Once? :???:

You really don't seem to be a kylie fan, your padam padam posts generally say everyone you know thinks it's awful and now your saying Disco is shocking. All the material you mention fits in very well with what kylie is about as artist so i would assume you don't like any of her material and say these comments to get a rise. For what it's worth I think Disco is one of her best albums.

Sexercize... I go back and forth on how I feel about this one. It's a daft song (but is it knowingly so, or was the main intention to be sexy? I don't find it to be!!). It veers a little too close to cringeworthy.

Sexercize is a funny song - because obviously it's very catchy, but at the same time the title alone is just, no baby, no. I think it really would've brought down the cringiness of the song if they had just titled it "Exercize" and let people deduce what the pun actually was instead of spelling it out.

Had golden circle or whatever it was called for her show in Birmingham….it was brilliant, she was so close and was in top form.
You can still be a fan and not like stuff. Stop being so precious and upright!

Disco is one of kylies best albums in my view and received great reviews. Not sure why you feel it was ‘shocking’. Kiss me once isnt one of my favourite albums. There are some good tracks but its not up there with her best.

This is the second time on this very page you've interjected with a weird, random comment that doesn't seem to be relating to anything. What exactly is wrong with you?
