Excellent to see Olly Murs safely inside the top 40 (and climbing!) with 'Dear Darlin''. Beautiful song and should be another top 10 hit for him. It's different for him, but it works for him.

Great to see Olly doing well, i like the track a lot. Also great to see the Danish entry from Eurovision doing well, i really like the song, in Ireland its already up to #92 but Eurovision is huge in Ireland, and the smi final with Ireland in it always pulls huge ratings as does the final.

I would be ever so happy if Olly Murs can make the top 40 now on Sunday.

You must be the first person I've come across that appears to like that version of 'Back to Black'. I can more often than not see the appeal in songs which I don't like, but with this, I'm not seeing it. :( Shame as I was looking forward to hearing their version before.

 

I don't think people who are predominantly pop fans will see the appeal tbh. There's a lack of catchiness and hook so I never expected many people to like it. I personally think it's a brilliant reworking of one of Amy's best songs.

My gripe with it is that it strips the song of all its emotion and meaning. The worst cover version I've heard in quite a while, for sure.
