Scissor Sisters would be beyond epic, which is why it'll never happen. It is the BBC after all.

I'm still clinging on to the tiniest of hopes that it might be The Darkness - they'd go down well in Europe, they're fun and they expressed a willingness to do it in the past. Well, a fellow can dream.

Actually, yes there is an act worse than Su Pollard...

I've read a rumour that it could be a 4 piece Spice Girls (minus Victoria). Seems extremely unlikely!

Is there anybody else irrelevant that's not been rumoured? I swear every former popstar/group have been "rumoured". Haha.

I would love an S Club 7 representation though! What's been made of their comeback? Didn't it get announced they were definitely getting back together? I wonder if it could be for Eurovision? :kink:

Eurovision only allows a maximum of 6 people on stage though! Would Paul sit out?

i'll be disappointed with anyone other than the scissor sisters now

Then you definitely need to get your disappointed face ready

The problem with anyone very famous across all of Europe is they set them selves up for a fall. Unless the song, vocal and presentation are all outstanding on the night.
Looks like there may be an announcement Monday evening/Tuesday AM now, and it's likely to be an upcoming/new artist (read: a nobody). Still if the song is good, who cares?
I'd happily take a nobody with a great song. Sometimes the BBC seems to overlook the fact that it's a 'song contest' as long as they send an artist that 'has a major fanbase across Europe' (who never vote for them because we always turn up with non-songs!)
There's a video shoot in the West End on Sunday to wich OGAE members have been invited (and shouldn't have blabbed but one has). The official line is a "talented new artist", rumours saying probably a recent reality show contestant (and given it's the West End I'm thinking possibly a ballad for the song).

Announcement confirmed for Monday at 7.25pm on BBC Red Button! :cheer:

The main rumour at the moment is Nina Nesbitt and there is a 3 minute song on her new album which is amazing!

Well, if it was that it'd be a decent choice. The song is pretty bland/uninteresting, but at least she's YOUNG and can sing pretty well. I won't get my hopes up though.

Nina has just denied it on twitter. :(
I have a horrible, horrible feeling it will be Justin Hawkins and his bunch of c**ts. they fit all the categories... Has beens, tacky, fame grabbers, no credibility and will be a ratings puller for the BBC.. I actually will vomit if this is true
It's probably one of The Voice auditionees.

becky hill then please

(tho still holdin out hope for SS)
