How can you confuse them, when they mean the same thing in this context?

They don't neccessarily mean the same thing. Lana Del Rey isn't commercial in terms of singles despite having success. The majority of her songs don't have commercial appeal even if it is MOR in it's sound. It's unlikely that any of her songs will be performed on talent shows like other MOR singles and it's not as though Capital play her songs.

What I'm trying to say is, despite the MOR sound, I wouldn't say that she was that commercial but she is obviously successful.

ISTR Video Games getting boosted several times from TV 'talent' show appearances...

Makes me laugh when people talk about 'blurred lines' not having staying power because it's now only got a 66% lead on itunes. Are we forgetting thats against a song thats likely to sell 110k this week! It was never going to keep a 2 to 1 lead. It's going to have massive sales

I had a gut instinct from looking at Kworb earlier that 'Blurred Lines' is probably looking at 160-170k this week whilst 'La La La' is also going to sell 100k+. I might as well eat humble pie now after being convinced Naughty Boy would tail off really fast.

Just hope Robin Thicke's sales next week don't plummet too drastically to the point Union J get to no. 1 with ease. :(

I knew La La La wouldn't fall away really quickly, its extremely rare for a non charity/reality TV song to sell 100k+ in a week and then bomb away really quick, songs like that prove they do have a good level of public interest.

Robin Thicke's song hasn't quite clicked with me yet - its not a touch on Dedicated To My Ex. I would rather that stay at number 1 than Union J's blandfest though.

Robin will definitely win that battle. Union J will be lucky to sell over 100k in my opinion.
If 'La La La' is looking likely to remain over 100k then there could be a (very small) chance of Daft Punk selling 100k+ yet again, since they're close to Naughty Boy combined on iTunes! Realistically though they'll probably be aiming at 90k-ish max - which would leave just 200k until the million, definitely looking likely to pass the million before leaving the top 10 unless they suddenly tail off massively.
I reckon Union J will sell about 70-80k and end up at #3 or #4, I really can't see there song being a massive hit, it is so bland and although they have their fans, they aren't exactly the most popular boyband, they were in the bottom 2 on X Factor what? 3 or 4 times?
Robin and Pharrell are performing on Graham Norton NEXT Friday. Them vs. UJ willl be an interesting battle.

No T.I?

Jennifer is on BGT tonight, so pretty sure Demi will be on Thursday. Also, Demi is on Alan Carr on Friday, not sure if she's performing, but either way, it should give "Heart Attack" and her album a bit of a push.

She isn't, Mark Owen is performing.

No it wont, it will be boring as f**k!

Fuse ODG should be #1 instead but of course he wont be because this is the UK chart.

Do you know what I'm finding hilarious is that weeks ago when Union J's single premiered and everyone was like 'Oh they'll be dead on certs for number 1'...interesting what happens when they run into a decent, wide appealing record isn't it? YAY ROBIN AND PHARRELL.

Olly holding up rather nicely. Wonder what album track he's gonna do on 'Britain's Got Talent' this Friday? Hope it is 'Right Place Right Time' that one is a BEAUTY done live. Or 'Hey You Beautiful'!

 55. Iconic Pop Band - I Love It (Deluxe Version)

They have beaten Stephanie Treo's tribute version! :kink:

It's been confirmed he's performing ' Right Place Right Time'.

Surprising how well Olly is doing with Dear Darlin'. It's nothing special, a bit repetitive and I'd have thought anyone who wanted it would have the album but obviously not. Don't get me wrong I love Olly so I'm glad it's doing we'll though.
