I'm not sure actually. If they did release it then, it would've struggled to even get top 75. The pre-order wasn't even top 1500 and there was no radio support. Then if they saw that it was having no impact, I doubt they would have started giving it airplay later on. They did the right thing delaying it until June, but should have released it on the 3rd as they were going to do before they pushed it back again to the 30th.

But the likes of Gotye, Thrift Shop, Let Her Go, etc., also did nothing when first released, but any "flop" tag didn't stop people eventually buying those songs when they heard them or stop radio picking them up.

Of course it would have picked up, songs that are doing that well in America always seem to slay here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Icona Pop is released before July 1st.

It'd be sheer stupidity if they don't.

Icona Pop releasing the 2nd single before the 1st? This is too hilarious. I think John Newman will beat them to #1 now.

I hope he does. Love me again is superb. Hope it has a couple of weeks there too :)

Please don't delete this fake version, just release the thing already record label!

Union J down to no. 6 on iTunes singles chart, and down to no. 18 with the EP. My faith in the UK charts is restored (for now).

G'won Robin Thicke. Grab that second week at the top. :D

London Grammar - 'Wasting My Young Years' EP pre-order  198 :o

As for the singles chart, nice to see Union J tumbling down already. As Your Friend seems to have done rather well, probably would've gone top 10 with R1/Capital support

 20. Jennifer Lopez "Live It Up"

^ Seemingly holding on quite well after its #17 debut.

Surprised to see Union J down to #6 already. Might only spend a single week inside the T10 at this rate. Seems everyone (Lawson, The Wanted) are jumping on the fact 1D are absent from the charts by releasing new music.

Even Union J is better than that Robin Thicke shite.

The top four of La La La, Blurred Lines, Get Lucky and Let Her Go are all so terrible :(.

It appears that Robin Thicke is going to have another absolutely massive week of sales - according to kworb the number 100 is on 0.0129 which is about the lowest it was when Daft Punk were at their peak - so he could be on for 160k this week :o

He has two other versions too, at #78 & 543. I wonder how many weeks above 100k he will have. I think he could manage to do 4.

I predicted 3 to 4 weeks at least with John Newman or Icona Pop to knock it off with sales over 100k so we could be seeing artists selling 100k plus for a few weeks to come yet. :D

I can't believe Vince Kidd is doing so poorly, it is a great song!

He's going to be peforming on The Voice live shows soon the top 4 from last year Bo Bruce Tyler James Vince and Leanne are all peforming on different weeks so he should get a boost from that if he sings The Zoo but it's not his official first single apparently just an EP for the fans.

Hopefully if Blurred Lines' sales holds up well enough, it -might- be able to hold Jason Derulo off #1 in a few weeks :D (and hopefully The Wanted as well the week after, but that's a bit less likely). Although i just want John Newman to get that #1 SMASH, which will hopefully happen as long as we see a certain song's release date being moved forward *nudges Icona Pop's record label*

I thought Wasting My Young Years had already been released and flopped. Can we please not have this dull woman/band/thing in the charts? :drama:
