A few extra versions of songs around from the 'Marbella Sessions 2013' compilation:

66. So Good To Me - Chris Malinchak

83. Million Voices (Radio Edit) - Otto Knows

133. Need U (100%) [feat. A*M*E] - Duke Dumont

141. Show Me Love (feat. Robin S.) - Steve Angello & Laidback Luke

186. Beautiful People (feat. Benny Benassi) - Chris Brown

Chris Malinchak has 3 versions top 100 then (21+66+82 and also 192). Otto Knows should re-enter the official top 100 again, at least I'll actually know why this time (still never figured out why it re-entered out of nowhere for 5 weeks (2 weeks top 75) earlier in the year).

Also:

128. You & Me (feat. Eliza Doolittle) [baauer Remix] - Disclosure

Track 1 on a three track remixes 'single' along with a Bicep Remix and a Toro Y Moi Remix. Sneaky. Yay for another version of this charting though!

Yes! Will be the first thing I've bought of iTunes in quite a while. Possibly the best (and most epic) track of the year.

If any good comes out of these compilations, it's that dance songs always get a decent boost. "So Good To Me" having three versions T100 (top at #21) should help prevent it from falling too fast), while "Need U (100%)" should get another week or two inside the T40.

26. Jason Mraz "I'm Yours"

30. John Legend "Ordinary People"

32. The Script "The Man Who Can't Be Moved"

34. Beyonce "Halo"

37. Will Smith "Summertime"

Wonder how Jameela will account for "I'm Yours"' likely re-entry on Sunday, or was it also performed on BGT? Can't see Beyonce or Will Smith making it, but we should still get three 'older' entries in the chart this week.

Re The Freeloaders:

I remember hearing this song on top of the pops when i was in year 9. I'm glad it got into the top 10 but i wonder which songs charted above it that week?

1. (1) Tony Christie (Is This The Way To) Amarillo ft Peter Kay

2. (NE) Razorlight Somewhere Else

3. (NE) Ciara 1, 2 Step ft . Missy Elliott

4. (NE) Elvis Presley The Wonder Of You {2005 re-issue}

5. (5) Will Smith Switch

6. (3) Mario Let Me Love You

7. (4) 50 Cent Candy Shop

8. (6) Mariah Carey It's Like That

9. (NE) Freeloaders So Much Love To Give ft The Real Thing

10. (11) Gwen Stefani Rich Girl ft . Eve

...I posted the whole T75 on another site a while back but it's a bit OT for the iTunes thread. Although that happens to be the first chart to include downloads.

^ Wow. That's actually quite a memorbale top 10 tbh. The only song I don't know off the top of my head is the Elvis Presley song.

It's strange how back then there were a lot of big female artists (like Ciara/Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani/Eve, etc.) having top 10 hits, whilst there's hardly been any recently.

Thanks for this!

What the hell was Elvis doing in the top 10 in the 21st Century?

I think after he died they re-released loads of his songs in 2005. I think a lot of them went to #1 (thankfully Ciara, J-Lo and Eminem didn't get blocked from #1 by any of them :drama:).

His 18 #1 singles were re-released to mark the 70th year since his birth. Three of the re-releases managed to get to #1 (including 'It's Now Or Never', which beat Ashanti to #1).

21,887 Elvis Presley (#1)

20,324 Ashanti (#2)

I was so disappointed at the time!

Ciara defeating Elvis was quite a relief, but surprising, considering she started out being only midweek #4 on the Tuesday. She was midweek #2 by Friday, but still a few thousand behind Elvis. Thankfully her Friday & Saturday sales boosted her.

21,128 Ciara (#1)

20,002 Elvis Presley (#2)

18,375 Chemical Brothers (#3)

12,869 Athlete (#4)

Where did you get these sales from?

In fairness, as much flak as the Elvis re-releases got at the time, they actually saved us from sales being even more horrendous. I seem to remember without them, the 1000th #1 would've only sold about 12k (I think it would've been Manic Street Preachers?) :drama:

Judging from the pop bars, Paramore still has a chance to go top 10 if they can just get a small boost from somewhere. Hopefully Union J will plummet even faster once they are out of the top 10 and fall below them (which should be sometime tomorrow). I really wish Paramore would promote the song on TV or something. :(

Oh wow, I never realized Ashanti got blocked by Elvis. :( She got a #1 from Wonderful at least.

Ja Rule completely destroyed Ashanti's career with his actions back then imo, which is a shame, since she didn't deserve that imo. She released a single recently and it's really nice imo. He finally got released from prison last month I believe, so maybe they can get chart hits again (not getting my hopes up though ).

Where did you get these sales from?

The sales are from http://fatherandy2.proboards.com/ in the "Facts & Figures (Sales) Archive" section. ^_^

You're absolutely right!

20,463 Elvis Presley (#1)

12,753 Manic Street Preachers (#2)

Shocking, so glad sales like these for the top positions are a thing of the past.

An extract from the iTunes chart this morning...

276. Can't Fight the Moonlight - LeAnn Rimes

282. But I Do Love You - LeAnn Rimes

357. Please Remember - LeAnn Rimes

491. Please Remember - LeAnn Rimes

660. How Do I Live - LeAnn Rimes

666. Can't Fight the Moonlight - LeAnn Rimes
