June 2, 201313 yr All the Kelly bashing :( I love her. People Like Us needs to smash I know. She's brilliant and she's one of if not my favourite ever singers. She's way too underrated imo. Same with Pink.
June 2, 201313 yr (29) Danielle Merriweather-Red Good tune from him. Just wondering what happened to him since.
June 2, 201313 yr The girl who wrote it, Nikki Williams (hopefully huge this year) is 10000000000x better vocally and irons out this issue. I swear you say this every week?
June 2, 201313 yr Seriously, didn't Akon already sample Alice Deejay for one of his songs a few years ago? Even by pop's lazy standards of recent years, sampling the same song twice is a new low for innovativeness. Not sure about Akon, but Wiz Khalifa sampled it on Say Yeah, which I think was in around 2009/2010. There was another artist quite recently that sampled the same song twice, but I can't think who it was right now (probably will.i.am or someone ). I don't think it's always that lazy though. Two songs that sound completely different can use the same sample.

June 2, 201313 yr Don't hear that at all personally. I would be shocked if Kelly ever came out with something as good as 'Still Into You'. Are you serious? I like Paramore but Kelly has million times better songs than it..

Two songs that sound completely different can use the same sample. I think 'Beautiful' was the Akon song that sampled Alice Deejay. I just looked at the Wikipedia page for the song, and it doesn't say anything about it on there, but I'm sure I remember being under the assumption it sampled it at the time.

June 2, 201313 yr Hmm... I wonder who could be number 7... Not as if Jameela just mentioned it is it?

I never noticed that before, but now you mention it, they are very similar. :o It's a different melody though, but the synths and rhythm are very similar. I used to think at the time that Beautiful and Down by Jay Sean were very similar tbh.
