I think we could end up with 5+ million sellers.

"Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" are almost certain. "La La La" may have a chance to do it this year and "I Love It" could surprise us. Not to mention "Mirrors"/"Just Give Me A Reason"/"Thrift Shop" could scrape past a million at the end of the year. Especially if either are used on the X-factor later this year or discounted at some point. Oh, also I can see Passenger's "Let Her Go" passing the million this year too. I expect is to get a lot of use on the X-factor. Thinking about it, there is a lot of potential for million sellers this year and there are still songs we haven't heard yet which could become one. The X-factor winners single/a charity single may also pass the million later on this year.

I can't see 5+ of those happening though. They're all possibilities but mathematics should be able to tell us if there's any chance of Just Give Me A Reason making it.

<Gasp> at the two people who think that there will be no million sellers released this year.

The world would have to end in the next few weeks to stop Daft Punk making it.

If they sell a million, I think Just Give Me a Reason will get there first, because I think it will have more radio airplay in the long run to sustain it, and also it's the most likely out of the three to get boosts from TV show performances. But I don't think it'll get there this year.

I'm just being optimistic. They'll all likely end up like "Titanium". Sell ~950k+ and reach 1 mil next year.

I can't wait to see the YTD singles list in August/September. By then we should have a much clearer idea.

Perhaps I assume wrong, but I thought the poll was asking how many songs would sell 1m on 2013 sales alone?

Thought I'd bump this as we have our 1st million seller and a 2nd fast approaching. :)

I still think Naughty Boy will reach a million by the end of the year too. He's still selling very well.

As expected, Get Lucky and Blurred Lines are definite million sellers.

With single sales so high, and seemingly random tracks doing so well at the moment; I think a few more surprises are in store.

I'm going to vote 5 as an initial prediction though. "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" obviously. The X-Factor winner COULD sell a million by the year-end, if the calibre is as high as last year (well James Arthur was the only really decent contestant). I'd say "La La La" and "Let Her Go" could make it, should they continue to keep selling like they are (Naughty Boy will undoubtedly get boosts from the third single/album etc.).

I voted 3. Get Lucky, Blurred Lines and this years X Factor winner.

The x factor single won't sell a million before the end of the year when its released 2 or 3 weeks before the year ends. James Arthur has the best selling X Factor song and he didnt make it did he?

I voted for 5+.."Get Lucky" is already one million seller. "Blurred Lines" will be very soon. "Thrift Shop", "Just Give Me A Reason" and "Let Her Go" have many possibilities..Plus, the X-Factor winner or a new charity single during the autumn.
It will depend A LOT on its longevity but I think that Blurred Lines could end up outselling Someone Like You in the future.
I do not think La La La, Let her go, mirrors and just give me a reason pass the million, maybe next year but still missing half the year .. maybe lady gaga, katy perry, britney and other singers who sell well the single ... but for now I just think it will be two pass Get lucky and Blurred Lines

Time to resurrect this thread seeing as there's so many potential million sellers (Roar, Wake Me Up, Let Her Go, La La La)

By the end of the year, Get Lucky (obviously), Let Her Go, Blurred Lines + the big X Factor/charity hit of the year. So I say 4

Looks like I may have underestimated :o

I don't think Naughty Boy will do it, at least not this year. It reminds me of the success of Labrinth's 2 big singles, so I think it'll sell no more than 850k

How wrong I was  It should pass a million now.

Avicii???

He'd made it a quarter of the way within a week!!

Let Her Go will do it but maybe not this year. Get Lucky will do it within 6 weeks.

I was wrong. Let Her Go did it in plenty of time.

How close is Rule The World to a million? Last time I saw any sales it had past 900k
