Posted June 7, 201312 yr Justin Timberlake’s biggest selling singles revealed! 07/06/2013 By Justin Myers http://c0903002.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/7318-justified_420x250.jpg 10 years after his debut Justified hit the Number 1 spot, we count down Justin Timberlake’s Top 20 sellers. While there’s nothing like making an instant impact on the Official Chart, we also love a slow burner – that huge hit you just know is going to happen, waiting in the wings for the right moment. And burners don’t come much slower than Justin Timberlake’s debut album Justified, which finally reached the top spot on the Official Albums Chart ten – yes, TEN – years ago, after over six months of trying. Released on the back of his first solo single Like I Love You, the former 'N Sync warbler’s album didn’t make quite the impression he had hoped. While its lead single was a smash, hitting Number 2 in October 2002 and going on to sell over 300,000 copies, the album charted at Number 6 on its debut, slipping out of the Official Albums Chart Top 20 the week after. A slew of massive singles helped keep the album in everybody’s hearts, if not at the top of the charts, with Cry Me A River and its famous Britney-baiting video landing at Number 2. So far it’s his third biggest selling solo single, shifting over 330,000 copies. The catchy Rock Your Body landed Justin a third consecutive Number 2 in May 2003, breathing new life into the album. The renewed Timberlake fever finally took the album to its rightful place at the summit of the Official Albums Chart in June 2003, where it remained for an impressive seven consecutive weeks. Sadly, Justified never did deliver the Number 1 hit single Justin was after; he’d have to wait until SexyBack in July 2006, the lead single from his second long player FutureSex/LoveSounds. SexyBack is his second biggest seller as a solo artist, racking up over 485,000 sales. Justified is still his top-selling album, however, with over 1.9 million copies sold. It’s out in front of its follow-up by over 700,000 copies. A decade on, and Justin Timberlake is still riding high. His third album The 20/20 Experience – yes, only three albums over ten years; sort it out JT! – is one of 2013’s biggest sellers, currently in fourth place after only 11 weeks on the chart. Unlike Justified, The 20/20 Experience went straight in at Number 1, where it remained for three weeks. And he has had his biggest success in the Official Singles Chart since the start of his career, with Number 1 hit Mirrors shifting over 600,000 copies since its release in February to lead the way as one of the Top 5 biggest selling tracks of the year! While his album output might be a little on the scarce side, he’s been popping up all over the place on the Official Singles Chart as a featured artist. Some of his biggest successes have been as a guest star, with his best-performing outing being the 2008 smash 4 Minutes with the mighty Madonna, notching up almost 500,000 copies in the UK and hitting the Number 1 spot all over the world. So far, 4 Minutes is Madonna’s biggest-selling digital download. He also hit Number 1 with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado back in 2007, with Give It To Me selling nearly 320,000 copies, and has had big chart smashes with 50 Cent, TI, Rihanna and Ciara. So what better way to celebrate Justin Timberlake’s decade of dominance than a Top 20 countdown of all the big hits to feature his perfect pipes. June 7, 201312 yr It's always great to see that someone's best song is their highest selling song. I know the feeling. Shame 'Cry Me A River' isn't JT's top selling single. :(
June 7, 201312 yr Author It's always great to see that someone's best song is their highest selling song. I've got bored of 'Mirrors' now as what always with overplayed songs, but I reckon I'll agree with this by the end of the year or so as I loved it at the time of release! Mind you, 'Rock Your Body' is worthy of his best song for me, and I prefer '4 Minutes' and 'Love Sex Magic' in which he's featured (although I'm not classing them as *his* singles).
June 7, 201312 yr 'Cry Me A River' is definitely Justin's best for me, although 'Mirrors' is up there as well. 'SexyBack' is still great (I do love all of his singles really) but not quite worthy of being in his top 3 with those two. 'What Goes Around... / ...Comes Around (Interlude)' and 'Like I Love You' are both much better.
June 7, 201312 yr Cry Me A River, Dead And Gone, Like I Love You and My Love are my other favourite songs from him respectively. I can take or leave the rest of his songs. Edited June 7, 201312 yr by グリフ
June 7, 201312 yr 'Ayo Technology' is disgusting. :puke: Can't find one likeable quality about that. These are all great though: Mirrors 4 Minutes SexyBack Cry Me A River Love Sex Magic Give It To Me Signs Rock Your Body LoveStoned Senorita (as a guilty pleasure!) Fairly stronger discography than I imagined. :o
June 7, 201312 yr The singles from Justified are by far the strongest out of the three albums. However, i'm not sure which is my favourite album as a whole.
June 7, 201312 yr 'Ayo Technology' is underrated  I know it should be awful, but it just isn't :( My favourite song by the vile fiddy though. His discography is fantastic, isn't it? I am fairly surprised to see 'Suit & Tie' so low though. I thought it'd be at least #7 or something! :o It's chart run is ridiculously consistant and would suggest it being higher. Also I never realised 'Love, Sex, Magic' sold as much as it has done either! Great though. Sounds so good and surprisingly ridiculously fresh! 'Tunnel Vision' will hopefully feature quite high!
June 7, 201312 yr Ayo Technology is genuinely brilliant. It's my second favourite from 50 Cent after In Da Club! ^_^
June 7, 201312 yr The singles from Justified are by far the strongest out of the three albums. However, i'm not sure which is my favourite album as a whole. I totally disagree. The singles from FutureSex/LoveSound were all at least 9/10 - far better than Rock Your Body and Senorita for me. Like I Love You 8/10 Cry Me a River 10/10 Rock Your Body 6/10 Senorita 6/10 SexyBack - 9 My Love 9 What Goes Around 10 LoveStones/I Think that She Knows 10
June 8, 201312 yr It's been 10 years since Justified & the OCC have given us Justin's Top 20 best selling songs: http://www.officialcharts.com/features/jus...-revealed-2267/ From OC: 10 years after his debut Justified hit the Number 1 spot, we count down Justin Timberlake’s Top 20 sellers. June 8, 201312 yr We already have a thread for this :) http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=154724
June 8, 201312 yr D'oh! So much for my observational skills today  Feel free to delete mods, sorry :)
June 9, 201312 yr I've never really understood the love for 'Rock Your Body'. For some reason it's always sounded a bit lifeless to me. I even prefer 'Like I Love You' to that.
June 9, 201312 yr I've always found all his music lifeless. Some of it is very entertaining (mostly the upbeat songs) and some if I can appreciate the skill but just isn't for me.
