I hate the fact that fake versions even exist in that they take sales away from the original, and the people who make the fake versions are making money from a song that isn't even theirs. Some kind of law should be written making it illegal to put a cover of a song on iTunes before the real version is out. However, in this case, I'd actually like it if loads of people bought a fake version and it did well in the charts, just to teach Icona Pop's label a lesson to show them how stupid they're being!

Exactly - consumer power should prevail!

Thing is they wont be able to delete Glees version if that gets as high up surely?

Plus Glee are already well known, so that'll be an advantage too.

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4350930

59p songs in the top 100:

 4 Leah McFall - I Will Survive

 26 Jason Mraz - I'm Yours

 32 Will Smith - Summertime

 42 Kodaline - Love Like This

 44 Pras - Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)

 46 Daft Punk - One More Time

 51 Mike Ward - When I Was Your Man

:left: 60 T.I. feat. Rihanna - Live Your Life

 65 Sam And The Womp - Bom Bom

 68 Jay-Z - 99 Problems

 74 Ironik feat. Chipmunk & Elton John - Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer)

 83 Philip Bailey & Phil Collins - Easy Lover

 85 Andrea Begley - Ho Hey

 93 Karl Michael - A Thousand Years

 97 Lloyd feat. Andre 3000 & Lil Wayne - Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)

I don't have a problem with people releasing cover versions and making money out of them.

If the record company are too stupid to release the song when the demand is CLEARLY there, then that's their own fault. I would imagine a large amount of people who couldn't wait have illegally downloaded it now. Very much doubt it'll be a number 1 now.

That would be a brilliant scenario because the song is nowhere near as good enough as most people have made out.

Two words - Precision Tunes.

Did Radio 1 play the full track of their version of Payphone when it charted btw? I seem to remember they played the Maroon 5 version. Just wondering what they will do with Loreen or Venus.

By the way didn't Glee's version of We Are Young chart before fun.'s?

Perhaps Blurred Lines could do 200K this week? It seems to be stable and selling at that pace - the number 100 is at about 1.2% and probably doing around 2.5K per week.

Ideally I wanted it released this week and to be #1, but oh well.

Seconded. I'm Team John Newman that week :)

That was only because it was top 10 and did not have a music video for them to play, so they used Maroon 5's version instead, I believe.

56. Emeli Sande - Read All About It Part III.

103. Mark Owen - Stars

Emeli slaying!

Hopefully Mark can make a miraculous leap into the upper half of the top 100. Wishful thinking. :kink:

'Everything Has Changed' back up to 99p, hopefully it doesn't slow down its progress too much!

It's alright but it's a bit crap compared to the brilliant #1s we've had recently. :P

Yes, I am as well! It would be an exceptional run of #1s if that was the case. :D

That's right I think. They did play the fake versions of 'When Love Takes Over', 'We No Speak Americano', 'Black And Yellow' and 'Whistle' when they were top 40. They couldn't play the fake 'T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)' though as there was apparently not a clean version of that available so they played the original that time but those are the only 2 occasions where they've played the original.

I don't understand why Enter Shikari only released Radiate today, but oh well, at least is climbing quick.

 5. Olly Murs - Dear Darlin'

:left: 6. Taylor Swift - Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran)

 7. Leah McFall - I Will Survive

Taylor has slowed down a lot now according to Kworb, a mixture of both the Britain's Got Talent and 59p effects wearing off. Hopefully the music video airplay rises and it gets playlisted by Capital and/or Radio 1 this week and it can stay in the top 10 for several weeks!

111. Glee Cast - I Love It (Glee Cast Version)

226. Nicki Bliss - I Love It (Workout Mix 126 BPM)

564. On Air Radio - I Don't Care I Love It

847. Ameritz Top Tracks - I Love It (Icona Pop & Charli Xcx) [Karaoke Version]

1003. Ultimate Karaoke Band - I Love It (In the Style of Icona Pop (feat. Charli XCX)) [Teaching Vocal Karaoke Version]

 36. Radiate - Enter Shikari

Smashing it.

Say what you want about Enter Shikari, but their fan base is ridiculously loyal. That and Zane Lowe on Radio 1 absolutely looooves them.

Keep falling please!

21. Paramore - Still Into You [been increased to 99p]

34. Enter Shikari - Radiate

48. The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved [Also been increased to 99p]

54. John Legend - Ordinary People :cheer:

58. Mike Ward - When I Was Your Man

71. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us

117. The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna [i'm expecting opening sales off around 130,000]

127. Jason Derulo - The Other Side [Hopefully he manages to get top 3]
