'Ghetto Superstar' is a primary school disco classic for me. LOVE it!

This is awful and I resent BuzzJack for not recognising that. Boo at it scraping in.

Has someone sampled the chorus of 'Ghetto Supastar' in recent years? I know that chorus but I'm not sure if it's from this, might be another hip-hop song.

Mya

As if Mya hasn't charted in over a decade! She used to be so good.

Oh YAY. Have always loved this, and can still remember seeing the video on REPEAT every single day after school

What a random song to return to the top 40 off a price reduction  It's actually not that bad, but I would prefer it if the chorus didn't rip off Islands In the Stream

They would have sampled the original Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton Islands In The Stream (as covered by Nessa and Bryn etc).

Love love Ghetto Superstar :D

Islands In The Stream? I think xD

I thought Ghetto Supastar was top 75 last week?

This was a bigger to prep. Glad it has re-entered on that basis alone

5 Years since Singing In the Rain reached #1. Anyone who's followed Mint Royale in the past week will have heard the story of it's time in the chart from his perspective. It's a really interesting dissection of the murky shenanigans orchestrated by Syco behind the scenes, well worth reading.

Well, do you have a link for it?

That really awful comic relief song from years ago.

I think either me or my brother bought Ghetto Superstar when it came out 15 years ago  I am getting old (he says aged 21)
