As much as Icona Pop have been criticised for their release strategy, they were right (imo) to wait until they achieved US success to give the song a push in the UK (proven by R1 not playlisting it originally). If Zedd had followed this strategy, it could've definitely been top 3 at least.

Levels had like 6 months of hype before it got released, it was big in clubs through the summer, but Avicii is more known with the iTunes crowd now

Just listened to 'Wake Me Up' - definitely hope it is huge! Aloe's vocal is incredible. :o Hopefully it will be released before I go on holiday in 3 weeks. It needs to be on my ipod.

The Avicii track is looking for an early release, they can't really hold it back till August surely as it seems a long way off, otherwise my name is Shirley. We are not even in July yet, I wouldn't be surprise if the track gets dropped mid July instead.

Looking likely that 'Walks Like Rihanna' is going to spend one week top 10 as Saturdays' and John Newman should enter the top 10.

I think it should be released not this coming Sunday, but the one afterwards. Surprised to see so much demand for it already! Almost certain #1 :o

R1 did playlist it 'initially'. It's not a re-release. R1 are clearly informed about release dates being pushed back before anyone else is and I'm absolutely certain this was the case with 'I Love It'.

 

I'm not sure what happened to 'Clarity' though, everything seemed to be going so well for it until it hit #29 then it just died.

Clarity could have improved on its 29 position but radio 1 were the only radio supporters and they blisted it for 8 weeks (the longest for any blist song this year). If they had have alisted it it could have moved further.
