I couldn't even make it through Auditions last year. So tired, fixed and clichéd with a distinct lack of talent. :(

I'll check out the auditions and see how long it takes before the 8.61m adverts per minute and only 5 auditions per 2hr show pisses me off enough to switch off for the rest of the series.

Jahmene, Chris Malone and Rylan in the final 5 last year really summed up everything that was wrong with X Factor.

If only we could have another series like 2008 where the majority of the finalists are actually good singers.

Last year was definitely one of the worst series. I agree that even the auditions got boring, and it became a chore to watch really by about week 5 of the live shows :( Terrible contestants didn't help, I only really liked Ella, Carolynne, James, Jade and Lucy :/
Last years was definetly the worst lineup of finalists I had seen. So cliched or just average.

I may watch this. Maybe. And if I do, it will probably just be the first auditions before I can't be arsed any more. It's too fabricated FOR WORDS now.

I think you people have missed the shock exclusion of that video which is Steve Brookstein :o

That advert is really good! The "Bleeding Love" is certainly the highlight (and how humble of The X Factor to still accept Leona ), but what's with the 20-second or so dedication to "You Bring Me Joy"? Nice that Shayne and Joe were recognised too, although if the latter was then it's odd that Matt wasn't. I imagine the show will be as awful as ever, and after studying the auditions for my English coursework last year I think I might skip that part

Louis Walsh is leaving us in 2014

Louis Walsh to quit 'X Factor' after 2013 series

Louis Walsh has announced his intention to quit The X Factor after this year's series.

The long-time judge has appeared on the panel since the show's launch in 2004, and is the only star to remain for the entire run.

However, he has now revealed to TV Times that he will not return in 2014.

"I'm happy this is going to be my last year," Walsh said. "I've been judging X Factor for ten years so I've done it all."

He added: "It was never in my plan to be on TV but Simon Cowell put me there. I'm very grateful to him but I need my life back!"

Walsh has previously won The X Factor with Shayne Ward, while also mentoring JLS, Jedward and Union J among others.

He was briefly replaced by Brian Friedman in 2007, before being reinstated by Simon Cowell several days later.

Sharon Osbourne recently hinted that she will only be returning to the panel for one series.

The X Factor returns for its new series on ITV later this month.

Not exactly sad news, now they can hopefully get a full panel of people who are actually committed to making a star out of the show! :cheer:

I think I'm actually going to miss him :\

Also that photo of the panel... OMG. Are normal auditions back?! !!

I'm unsure what to think. He is funny and an integral part of XF, but he is very annoying and it was because of him we had to put up with Wagner and Jedward. He makes too much a joke out of what's a big opportunity for other acts he casts away, I know it's primarily an entertainment show but it's a singing contest just as importantly.

There's a double audition format I think, the old auditions are first followed by the 2009 onwards arena format!

I read that as a rumour I think, didn't think that it was true  I can live with that. YAY.

(Loving the chrome X though <3)

I'm actually going to miss him, so that's two new judges next year, unless Simon is coming back. The show is up for renewal anyhow at the end of this series, it could be the end.
I don't think this will be the end at all, Simon's said it's gonna be on for a while yet I'm sure? And I doubt ITV would want to lose a show that brings in such high ratings.
I've surprisingly grew to really like Louis over the last few series of the show, but it'll be good to have a bit of a change on the panel. What with him gone next year, Sharon only doing one series and isn't Gary also leaving after this one? Pretty much all new line-up next year looks likely.

Judges' categories revealed

Nicole Scherzinger:

Girls

Gary Barlow:

Groups

Louis Walsh:

Boys

(bit pissed if this is the case; don't think he can manage them properly)

Sharon Osbourne:

Over 25's

Apparently this year the judges were informed of their categories before the Boot Camp stage of the competition began.

Really happy with Nicole's category, though. It's the one I expected her to have this year.

In regards to Louis... two words

SHAYNE WARD...

. They probably want to get him out on a high so they're probably hoping he can go all the way.
