Definitely more excited given the small room auditions, but as always i wish they'd just fast forward to the live shows where it really starts for me.

I used to be all about the live shows (and obv they are still the peak) but I do love the unbridled (melo)DRAMA of Bootcamp and Judge's Houses.

I do have a soft spot for what I like to call sob story wars, they just get gradually worse until at the end you get a girl with two dead parents who's had four near death experiences, been dropped from a major label at the last minute and is deafblind.

Dunno if this counts as a spoiler or not...move it if you so wish mods but Next of Kin - as in the lot who had a couple of top 40 hits in 1999 with '24 Hours from You' and 'More Love' - have auditioned this year. Massive piece about them auditioning on this weekend's show in my local paper (they're from my neck of the woods).
