w/c 18th August, quite a competitive week actually. All these songs are released:

Klangkarussell ft. Will Heard - Sonnentanz

Lady Gaga – Applause

Matt Cardle ft. Melanie C - Loving You

Miguel – Adorn

Naughty Boy ft. Emeli Sande – Lifted

Sean Paul - Other Side Of Love

Wretch 32 feat Jacob Banks – Doing OK

Tich – Obsession

Isn't it also a week with DJ Fresh? That's one more top-10 contender.

The ones I can see possibly troubling the top 10 are Lady Gaga, Klangkarussell, Matt Cardle/Mel C (yes, really), Sean Paul and DJ Fresh/Diplo (which is out that week also). Not to mention Avicii, Miley and Lana should all be up there too :o

Matt and Mel are gonna slay everyone and everything. Lady Avicii GaGa who?! :drink:

In all seriousness though, I can't see Mattel troubling the top 20. Top 40, maybe but that's about as good as I see it, especially with that many contenders.

You don't think that Naughty Boy will go top 10? After the success of La La La I can't see it not going low top 10 at least. As for Matt & Mel I can't see them getting higher than low top 20.

Loving You will probably to get like ~#27 or something.

Lifted, Earthquake, Sonentanz, Applause and possibly Other Side Of Love (I haven't heard it yet to judge) will be top 10 though.

Lady Gaga – Applause

Matt Cardle ft. Melanie C - Loving You

Oh oh, GaGa has some competition for no.1 then :/ Unless it's a slow burning hit like Passenger and their duet hangs around in the top 10 for ages.

 166. Sonnentanz (feat. Will Heard) [PRE-ORDER] - Klangkarussell

YAY :D This to somehow cause an upset and go to #1 plz

The track is a grower, at first I was on the fence over it.

MATT'n'MEL coming to outsell the whole top 40 and smash in at #1 and remain there for months.

I think it might struggle on such a competitive week tbh. That, and 'La La La' will still probably be Top 20 by the time it's out, so it might get overshadowed by that

My top 10 prediction for 'Loving You' might seem a bit silly, but there's definitely a "smash-hit" kinda feeling to it (that, and the pre-order is Top 300 atm)

101. Ellie Goulding - Burn (Alienator Remix)

Why is this already available?

Also:  102. OneRepublic - Counting Stars

I hope you're right about it Seven, but due to the artists involved I really can only see it doing "a 'Broken Strings'" at best. (Before it was randomly boosted to the big number 2 smash it was - it seemed to be struggling before something random boosted it iirc)
I wouldn't be surprised if Sean Paul debuts lower than Matt C & Mel C. I haven't seen any hype for his song at all. Plus I think Lifted will be Naughty Boy's Not Giving In and peak outside the top 10
Why would Sean Paul go top 10? That's going to flop very hard.

'Got 2 Luv U' was a decent sized hit, 'She Doesn't Mind' was pretty big and he featured on a #1 single this year so I'm sure he'll at least go top ten.

This.

Mattella will be added to Capital and BBC1 after smashin, making it last for ages at the top.

Matella  That sounds like something you'd spread on your toast. :P I still can't believe that Matt Cardle and Melanie C look likely to get a top 40 single in 2013, especially Mel C. Other Spice Girls members could never etc.

"Lifted" is going to underperform big time I reckon. "Wonder" only barely made the T10 and was short lived and "La La La" is still very much a current 'hit'. I think the label knew it'd be overshadowed so went for the safest option, the second Sande collaboration, in the hope that her fanbase can generate sales. I know that her album was essentially Naughty Boy features, but "Lifted" just sounds like any other of her tracks; so I don't see it appealing to the mass who bought "La La La".

Have heard nothing of the Sean Paul until now, can't see it troubling the T10 personally.

Any news on the Flo Rida/Pitbull collaboration. Heard it on Italian radio yesterday, it's turd by their standards (and I was a fan of Flo Rida's last era).

This.

I don't get how Matt and Melanie can become Matella

Nutella, its' impact. :dancing:

Matanie... could catch on, matella is good but only if he duets with Ella Eyre!!

I think they'll go top 40 that week, I hope that weeks new releases will help clear out the current top 10 and hopefully get rid of Passenger for at least one week
